That sucks. :(
:(
I wasn't happy to read about this either. It's like people are lining up and cashing their chips in.

No kidding -- I just found out on Saturday night that Bernie Mac (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7551477.stm) had passed away too. :(
Yeah, Bernie Mac was a big shocker, too. He wasn't old enough to go, either.

It's not just those 2, but I'd be interested in seeing stats on which celebrities have passed and what year. Also game designers keep dropping off like flies. This stuff happens, but it seems to be happening heavily this last year.
Eat right, exercise, try to stay healthy - die anyway.
Stupid treadmills.
And yeah, Bernie Mac dying was total left-field. I didn't even think he was as old as he was, and it was still way too young. Pneumonia of all things.
I had Pneumonia earlier this year; I was never hospitalized (we caught it really early) but even so, I can remember wondering whether or not I was going to live through it. Even after it was mostly gone, I was useless and easily exhausted for about two months. Many days I was too tired to read, even just after twelve hours of sleep. Ick.
Helped me quit smoking, though.

Thanks also for Truck Turner (if you haven't seen this, now is a great time to check it out).
Rest in Peace.
On topic- the theme from Shaft is one of my all time favorite songs.
I love just about everything off Hot Buttered Soul.
We certainly seem to have seen many icons in gaming and the arts pass this year. I think this will accelerate as the boomer generation is fast greying.
