This weekend I get to meet two people I only know from posting at TheRPGSite - assuming the best laid plans of mice and men - Moriarty and HinterWelt!
Have you met and/or gamed with anyone from TheRPGSite you didn't already know? Who? What did you play?
No.
Possibly. I know that there are other Colorado Springs locals who post here, though they do so under the veil of anonymity. So. . . possibly :)
You'll know me if you see me.
I met old JB a couple of weeks back. We played 'Sink the Beer'.
droog won, but you get +1 to drinking when smoking.
I've met Balbinus twice, in London and Madrid :) Have not gamed with him... yet.
Nope, but I really look forward to doing so at Gen Con this year!
I'm in a group with this entire site's most reasonable poster.
No, it's not Nox. I'm Nox, silly.

Don't scare us like that. (OR make us snort a drink laughing either)
If any of you make it to Gen*Con I'll be VERY easy to recognize or find. My sometimes avatatrs on other forums give me away as to what I'll be wearing during the daytime. Gotta work that jail for charity....I practically NEVER get to just "play" a game when I go there.

I'm certainly looking forward to it! I already met HinterWelt at a previous Gameday but only briefly.
I know you're in HW's afternoon game, did you manage to grab a morning game too?
Nope...unfortunately I missed by a few minutes (the one I wanted).
But I'll be in earlier (I hope) as I want to enjoy the store. I was spoiled in my younger days having Games Plus 15 minutes away.
So I'll be in around 11 or 12...
I'll be there to say "hi" to anyone who gives a crap. :)

Better be careful Pierce, Pundy might bannzor your ass.
Any of you Illinois guys been to a place/ game store that has a big terrain board that people play OGRE on ?
Crystal Lake might be near the right place - I'm not sure.
If you see a 6 foot 7 inch guy there playing OGRE/GEV named Keith - tell him the Ohio Klingon says a big Hello.

By the way, in case anyone's interested and if Monte Cook will indeed be there, I'm goint to try to convince the GM for the afternoon True20+Gamma World game to, at some point, say:
"Rocks fall. Everyone but Monte lives. Take that, Monte!"
Will it be brash to ask him to autograph the PHB...or just geeky..
Koltar, I'm not sure where that is it is something with which I am unfamiliar.
Crystal Lake is a far far far NW suburb of Chicago - halfway betwen Chicago and Rockford...
Joe - you'll be there? probably there already...
I'm off to shower and then to Games Plus (I'm only in the afternoon slot with HinterWelt)
yeah...a shower...learn it, bitches.
I can't make it to Gen*Con.
I hang out with Brantai pretty regularly, and Joewolz and I used to game back when I went to school in Carbondale. I'd make the trip to visit more if I had a working car... x_x;
I live in the St.Louis-Edwardsville area in Illinois, right now, though, so if people are in the area, they should let me know. ^_^
I have always wondered about gamers who post on forums and go to conventions. Who would you like to meet and has there been occasions where you met up with someone who you didn't get along with online?
Some of my American (European) gamers friends have told me that they have met folks who they really don't get along with online but have no problems hanging out with off line.
Regards,
David R

I'm not there yet, but yes, I'll be at GenCon. I can't wait until I'm up in New Lenox again, either. I know I'd like to go hang with Bill!

You're going to have to stop bringing your pet skunk, BTW.
Ah, Gencon... I'm looking forward to it. First time attending. You'll see me there.

I'll tell Settembrini that you said that!
haven't met anyone from here. if anybody makes it to central NJ i'd meet 'em for a beer, or bring 'em to a meeting if we're playing. i won't be travelling much until grad school is done (spring 2009, fingers x'ed)
Is anyone in Georgia?
