Make one side mention of a Forge game and somehow, as if by magic, the author seems to inevitably appear to promote it.

How come we don't get such timely response on any normal fucking games?  Where's Dan Abnett popping up randomly in my campaign ideas thread for Dark Heresy?  Or Monte Cook showing up at random in D&D3 threads.

Oh I guess flyingmice and Hinterwelt are here, but they're here all the time anyway, so they don't really count.  ;)

Because the RPG Site's slide into self-parody has become even more pronounced lately. It seems pretty obvious why any self respecting designer wouldn't want to engage with colossal cunts who've registered purely to reenact the shit slinging compulsivity that got them banned elsewhere.

Maybe because some douchebags on the other forum have labelled RPGsite as a haven for douchebags, and no self-respecting developer wants to associate with douchebags, even though he/she unknowingly has been all along.
 
In other words, false advertising has probably harmed this fine board.

I don't think many do. Do Dan Abnett (never heard of the guy, but nevermind) or Monte Cook show up on forums?

I think most of them, if they do, stick mainly to their own dedicated fora.

Dan Abnett's primarily a novel writer, writes a lot of the big famous 40k novels.  He wrote much of the setting detail in Dark Heresy.
