This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Hey, at least he got his honemoon in first!

Man with drug-resistant TB goes on a globe-trotting race to avoid authorities. At least he's "intelligent and educated" and knows far better than the CDC what needs to be done! Oh, and he just CAN'T understand why he has an armed deputy outside his door!

This is the kind of self-indulgent, self-entitled fucker (pardon) that's going to wipe out civilization. I'd cure him then lock him up for the rest of his life for endangering millions. No conjugals, either - he got enough in Greece and Italy.

Are you sure he wasn't just being a self-determinist? ;)

Hah. Mommy, look at the funny man!

Self-determinism does not equal a right to endanger others through your own actions.

No, but it does allow it.

Only in a society without laws governing such things. He dosn't live in such a society, and flagrantly ignored the lawful order of legal authorities - and worse, endangered others in the process. He should be considered no less (and considerably more) than a driver refusing a lawful order from a police officer to pull over. He should be arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, at the very least. He won't be, of course, for some unknown reason.

Anyway, dink went-a-travelin' on an airplane or two (or three, or four) with TB of an undetermined level of infectiousness.  My mother once brought one of us kids (I forget which of us siblings) aboard an airline flight with chicken pox in our scalp and didn't tell the authorities.  She's still serving time in the pen.

Was she ordered by a Federal agency, directly, not to get on the plane with you, and to turn you into the nearest hospital for quarentine? Did she ignore that order and then, in an effort to return to the United States, expose hundreds of others to a potentially fatal disease, all the while trying to avoid "getting caught" by the same lawful authorities who ordered her not to fly with Junior in the first place?

No? Then its not the same, now is it?

If she'd told anyone about the chicken pox, she and child would have been grounded.  She knew it, and she flouted the rules anyway.  I proudly recognise my mother's sense of enlightened self-interest.

Hey, my mother got home with the kids, and she didn't have to drive.  I see this as a win-win.  My mother won, and we kids won.  Oh, and nobody else got hurt in the process. Go team!

Werekoala

Do you know for a fact nobody on the plane caught chicken-pox?

Hey, my mother is a saint, and was doing what was necessary for her children's best interests. And if anyone else caught chicken pox it was just nature taking its course.

Those fucker's'll never catch me! I been TB positive since 2001... why don't I get a chase scene through Greece and Italy? I feel left out.

Well, hey, waddaya know - he's a LAWYER!

No WONDER he was a self-important arrogant prick with an over-inflated self image who knew better than anyone else! You could've almost bet money.

So yes, people like him WILL lead to the destruction of civilization, by profession if not pandemic.
