SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Greetings!

Ayeup! Consider me another 'fugee from TBP. I've never come a-cropper of the moderation there, but the hand-wringing sensitivity has proper done me head in. So I've decided to not bother with there any more, and come and plague you lot instead.

So...when do I get to say Nox is a twat?

Welcome! Did/Do you go by the same nick on TBP?

There's a thread about Nox in the Help Desk subforum that you might want to read. :p

Ooh, thanks Jong. Been and had a look, cast my vote.

(Personally, I've always been a big fan of: there is always ONE. And if you keep that one around, they keep being the one. Get rid of them and it'll only become someone else. - I'll post that there, too.)

I used the same nick on TBP - but I'd been there a few years under another one. I've just had enough, literally in the last week or so, of the constant "I'm offended!" "Well you shouldn't be!" "I'm offended by that!" "Now now children." "Don;t call me a child! That's offensive!" bulshit over there.

I've been lurking here for a month or so - it does seem that at least a conversation can be had here without it being derailed by hand-wringing illogic. Although, fair to say, there is still a pile of shit talked here, but at least people call each other on it without an immediate recourse to snootiness. :)

As a scatologist, I'm offended by your likening of poo to bad stuff. Poo is a very useful excrement. Without it we would eventually bloat and die under own own bodily wastes.

Can somebody ban this bastard please?

Quire

Now that's the spirit! Always glad to see someone who enjoys shit. Especially talking it. ;)

Ah, yes. The "Excepting Mrs. Pentherby" effect.

That's the one.

And, when the ONE is removed, it's always amazing who the next 'ONE' turns out to be.

And then of course, you start thinking about it a little more...and wonder: fucking hell! How many need to go before I AM THAT ONE?

*shrug* It can happen to any of us.

- Q

EDIT: So, if you've got an obvious 'ONE', keep 'em.

PS Steve Jackson US or UK?

Ian Absentia

Please.  He discriminates plenty.  He just doesn't know the difference. ;)

I meant between SJ US and SJ UK. :)

Actually, he does. Whichever one is at the stevejacksongames.com forums is the one he despises.
