Good. I hope she wins.

I hope that this lawsuit knocks Disney's dick in the dirt. Part of what she is suing for is to be recast in a Disney show, so the return of Rebel  Dropper turned New Republic Ranger Cara Dune could actually be a win for both sides - if Lucasfilm can get over their own ego in this.

I hope it becomes a class lawsuit, Gina isn't the only one Disney fucked over.

Looks a bit grim for some of the higher ups at Disney, with Elon both supporting her suit as well as hinting he and another high roller are looking to buy and control Disney.  That would be a pretty strong blow to the woke if it changed leadership that drastically.   I suspect there are players around hollywood who pretend to compete who would unite post haste to prevent Elon from taking over that one.

Considering that Gina Carano was only making $25k per episodes, it will cost Disney almost nothing to settle this. Significantly less than when they settled with Scarlett Johansen.

The plot thickens....

If these allegations are true, then LucasFilm was far more fucked up than anyone imagined.

I'm sure the settlement money will be nice for Carano, but a win on the principle of the matter will be much more important for all.

I have a feeling there is going to be a sub plot about the people at disney who started using their -ist words and damages from same.  I also think it will be a smash to the face with publicity.  I think the real danger/damage is going to be Elon maneuvering to buy them.  That is when the real pain starts.

Gina lost way more than whatever the rat was paying her, there was reputation and career damage, so I think that togheter with whatever emotional damage and punitive damages she's awarded would be more than 25k per episode.

But, unless Disney's lawyers are retarded they won't let it get to discovery, because that would be a PR nightmare, so they'll try and settle out of court for a few million.

Now, IF I was in Gina's place, I would want to get a trial.

With Elon funding her...I have a feeling that might be where it is headed unless they offer a staggering settlement.   Elon's money makes for a big difference in the legal firepower and staying power.

That's what I am thinking too.  I think she and Musk want this stuff to come out in open court.
