Title: D20 Haven & other Forums...
Post by: Koltar on October 06, 2007, 10:39:15 PM
Have you guys checked out the D20 Haven thing?

I know its sigged with a couple of you ....but I think its a worthy effort. Just wish it was getting a little more traffic.

Want to teach me  D20 ?

Look me up over there .
Over on there I'm going by my Klingon personal name of Khar'Ton.

http://www.d20haven.com/forums/

Not really my game or system, but I'm willing to try it . I got the 3 or 4 of the basic 3.X D&D books.  Go easy on the GURPS guy - okay?

Would it help if you had some Traveller20 stuff? I've got some extras.

K,

Thanks for coming by and checking it out!  Part of the reason is that I've been a bit negligent in pushing things as I've been working on trying to find a way to unite all of the tools I'm going to provide under one, cohesive umbrella. Since most of these tools are open source, free tools, they all have their own authentication systems - mostly in PHP.

I'd like to have one that operates the site and transparently handles all fo the individual pieces for the user.  Having never written code in PHP, much less full fledged web apps, it's been a bit of a learning experience for me.

And it should be noted that you can talk about non-d20 stuff in the general forum at d20 Haven. And, as the name illustrates, it's not just about D&D - any d20 is welcome.  My personal experience is based firmly in D&D (of many editions), but I'm looking more to provide a place of general d20/OGL support to continue when WotC moves on...

It's an "open source" approach to gaming using open source software - all of which is completely against my capitalist tendencies.  But hey - what the hell!?!

So thanks for coming by and supporting the site with your posts.  I'd love to keep helping you through the creation of a character.

Thanks,
jjs
