Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The Big Purple is like the Galactic Senate. It's big, slow, ponderous, and despite claims of equality, there is a firmly established pecking order. There is very little overt violence but copious amounts of posturing and politicking. It's rules are polite and usually enforced. The mods are like the Jedi Council, ready chop your arm off with the bansaber if you get huffy.

theRPGsite is more like Jabba's palace. It's smaller, rowdier, and thoroughly corrupt. It too has a pecking order, although its smaller size means there's more wiggle room for a free agent. You have Pundit as Jabba on top, Sett as Salacious Crumb, J Arcane as the rancor, and, umm...Kolkar as Slave Leia. Hostility is permitted and even encouraged.

Stop. Right. There.

This is sounding like some kind of weird slash-fic.

*shudder*

Think you mis-spelled a name there. Also, I wouldn't fit into that outfit ...this young woman , however  does : http://home.att.net/~amyschultz/costumes/leia.html

...her name is Amy and she has been a friend of local fandom Klingons for years.

thoroughly corrupt?

pecking order?

Spike

What the fuck does that make me? One of the bounty hunters hanging out for the dancing girls???

Hmm... actually, that doesn't sound half bad... :hmm:
For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.

Okay, Koltar?

This "now I want to talk about this at least moderately attractive girl who is at least tangentially involved in geek activities, though it has only the smallest amount to do with the topic" schtick you're working?

It's really, really weird. I mean, it's better than Sett's semi-coherent ravings, which feels like having a conversation with Gygax's letters column persona on six hits of high quality acid, but it's weird.

I just had to get that out there.

And who's the Twi'lek dude in the robe, then? Bib Fortuna, I believe?
Heroism is no more than a chapter in a tale of submission.

The internet recognizes only five forms of self-expression: bragging, talking shit, ass kissing, bullshitting, and moaning about how pathetic you are. Combine one with your favorite hobby and get out there!

Wow. Yeah. That's the first time I actually clicked the link...I just kind of assumed.

That's absolutely a born gent.

Doh. Yeah, my bad. :(

I couldn't think of a good Slave Leia, so I was grasping at straws.

The Good Assyrian

Can I be one of the Gamorreans?  You know, the thoughtful one with the wistful look in his eye?

P.S.  I think that theRPGSite is more like the Cantina in the first film.  Filled with some weird folk and a place that can erupt in violence at the drop of a hat.  But somehow still filled with cool.

That's how I want to see it, at least.

Oh yeah, and I am Han Solo.

ghost rat

I'd hate for it to be the Cantina, 'cuz then I'd have to be Greedo and get shot by your ass. In cold blood. Jerk.

If this is the Cantina, where's the Jazz band?
