Title: Celebrity Gaming Group?
Post by: Serious Paul on June 25, 2007, 03:52:25 PM
If you could pick one celebrity to game with, who would you pick, and why?

Oh and assume for the purposes of our discussion said celebrity would want to play, and participate in a reasonable fashion. Also feel free to use living or dead celebrities.

Seth Green. Cause hes a fellow geek like the rest of us. He has a sense of humor and I think would be a blast to game with.

Heather Graham. Primarily to spend time with Heather Graham.

I don't know what we'd play, but it'd probably be some sort of Victorian gentleman/naughty French maid LARP.

Val Kilmer. Of course we would probably be stoned and playing Paranoia or maybe GammaWorld (First Ed)

Robin Williams or Seth Green, I can't decide which. I do know that the game would be a Classic Traveller one set in a remote noble-governed cluster with much palace intrigue going on between noble houses and worlds.

(They are both known for comedy, I bet they'd really get into a more dramatic and dark setting if given the chance.)

According to various rumors - Robin Williams already plays RPGs. Also, its rumored that he and Billy Crystal have played in the same D&D group from time to time.
Can you imagine being a DM for those two ?

Also , Darryl Hannah admitted at a gamer's convention that she is part of an ongoing Dungeons & Dragons group - but she tries to stay private about it.

Well, for a convention one-shot, Kiefer Sutherland would surely do the job.

"What does your wizard do now! Quick! WE DON'T HAVE THE TIME!"
"Sure I rolled a natural 20 on my saving throw. YOU JUST HAVE TO TRUST ME!"

I think at some point I'd pull a PJ and say, "Rocks Fall! Everybody Dies!"

I think I'd just feel weird with her at the gaming table. I get the impression that she's bright, but she does the stoner blonde hippie routine so well that I'd be a bit put off.

And why would she tell gamers at a convention that she's part of a regular D&D group if she wants to keep it private? You'd think that they'd be the last ones you'd want to know.

She told a Dealer ...NOT a group of gamers. She was wearing a hat and glasses at the time and was shopping in the Exhibitor's Hall with her sister.

I'd pick Rupert Murdoch because he could pay for all the drinks.

I wonder if we should send Darryl Hannah an email and invite her to join the RPG Site. Think it'd work?

Hell -for all we know she may be "lurking" on both here and on the Big Purple - but would not reveal herself for obvious reasons.

Michelle Malkin IS cute - but not sure she'd be fun to game with . Basing the Camile and Condoleeza choices on the way I've seen them talk in interviews ....and other things I know about them.

Actually, I take back my original choices.

I'd invite Kari Byron from Mythbusters to game at my table. She loves D&D, is smart, cute, and likes to not only weld but also make things explode. You just can't beat that combination.

I'd like to run a game in New York in the 1890s wit Teddy Roosevelt, Mark Twain, and Nikola Tesla.

I bet Twain would play the Rogue (thief) in the party.

Jennifer Tilly - after seeing her on those celebrity Poker shows, she seems like she would be cool to game with at any gaming table.
Seperate from doing those shows ...she actually won a poker tournament or two.

Steven Brust, author of the JHEREG novels. Openly admist the entire series is based off the character he played in Adrian Morgan's D&D campaign.
