This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Looking for a map of 1245 Mongolia

Does someone have a (hex) map of 1245s Mongolia and the area around? I have an idea for an adventure set during Töregene Khatun's reign, and need the lay of the land. From Karakorum southwards is of most interest, but I take what I can get.

That is awesome, estar! I wish we could see the detail on the map of ancient Urga / Ulaanbaatar.

The trouble with Mongolia at that time is that it was populated by nomads and had very few settlements. The maps shown above are very useful and I have used them for RPG settings in the past.

I hadn't really been looking for something like this, but a D&D-style hexmap of this would be awesome.

Please define what you mean by hex map, because if you mean something like this (I can make roads and rivers look much better now. :) ) I might be able to help. As funny as it may sound, I have a binder with my family history that my late great aunt compiled that goes back to the foundation of Kievan Rus, and of course makes mention of the Mongol invasion thereof. So a while back I started reading up on the history of the Mongol Empire and expansion period. If you are looking for a classic D&D style hex map, I have Campaign Cartographer and that is one of the easiest maps to put together, because it's mostly drag and drop until you have to draw rivers and lakes and roads but those aren't too bad.
