This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

So What's Everyone Playing These Days?

GMing
5e D&D weekly in Golarion Rise of the Runelords/Shattered Star, PCs are 11th-13th level
5e D&D online about twice weekly sandbox in Wilderlands of High Fantasy using the 3e version, PCs in two groups, 7th & 11th-17th level.
4e D&D Nentir Vale fortnightly, PCs 2nd level.
Classic Mentzer D&D Mystara weekly approx, PCs in main group 13th-18th level, plus a solo 9th level PC in the Hollow World. After a couple years I'm looking to rest the main group soon.

Playing a nominally weekly 4e D&D game, I think we're 3rd level now.

It's been 98% D&D for me recently; I played I think 3-4 sessions of Call of Cthulu - Achtung! Cthulu a year or so back, and around 10 sessions of Savage Worlds - War of the Dead 7 years ago.

Wrapped up a Cthulhu by Gaslight campaign about a month and a half ago. Using CoC 6th edition rules. In a couple of months, I'll probably start up another CoC campaign, but in the 'classic' era. (CoC is one of the few Rpgs I run these days).

I'm playing in a Gurps 4e campaign, that's using the Alternity Dark*Matter setting.

Ashakyre

Playtesting my homebrew hex mage (working title) in two different groups, one online. Playing Rules Cyclopedia as well.

Jason Coplen

Running D&D1, and starting a WarpWorld (the old version) game for an occassional break from D&D.

Playing: Nothing currently.
Running: HarnMaster, and prepping for Werewolf 5.

darthfozzywig

Running an original-series era Star Trek game using Savage Worlds.
Before that was Call of Cthulhu.
Next up may be a return to our B/X campaign.

Ugh.

I am GMing a Dark Sun game using houseruled 2nd edition AD&D.
I'm also playing in a campaign using Pathfinder rules, but  set in Greyhawk and revisiting all the old TSR era modules.

I ugh because both are very sporadic. It's not regular gaming, but like once a month, maybe, depending on schedules.
The notion of an exclusionary and hostile RPG community is a fever dream of zealots who view all social dynamics through a narrow keyhole of structural oppression.

Shemek hiTankolel

Two Tekumel campaigns (what else:p)
One game is using a LotFP rules mash up with lots of EPT elements thrown in, while the second one is using D&D 5e as the core rule set. Had to do a lot of monster conversions from EPT to 5e.
Both games have become a welcome change from the exclusive AD&D 1e and EPT  rules that I have been using for 30+ years.

Right now I'm only playing in the occasional game of Savage Rifts. My group is in a bit of flux due to several issues including two of the members moving to Florida on short notice. Assuming all goes well, in the next month or so I'll be starting up either a new campaign of East Texas University (Savage Worlds) or Firefly using some homebrewed revisions to the Mini Six ruleset.

I don't know what Savage Rifts is but I'm picturing awesome H. Rider Haggard-inspired pulp explorations of Lost World-type rift valleys in Africa or South America in the late 19th century.

It's Palladium's Rifts setting using the Savage Worlds system.

I've only ever heard of the former. I have only experienced the latter in the Pirates of the Spanish Main game.

I like my idea better!

The basic Savage Worlds system can do your idea.  Which I have to say, sounds pretty awesome...

5e D&D in Greyhawk and some CoC one shots. CoC seems to be winning over the table and may take over from D&D. Want to try out the Spirit of 77.

Add me to the ranks of people who have stopped posting here because they can\'t stand the RPGPundit. It\'s not even his actual opinions, though I strongly disagree with just about all of them. It\'s the psychotic frothing rage with which he holds them. If he ever goes postal and beats someone to death with a dice bag, I don\'t want to be listed among his known associates, is what I\'m saying.
