This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

More flavourful names for some D&D spells

Opal, not well my team got ema
Quote from: Opaopajr;946034Marleycat, how was football this year? All I learned was "something something, the Pats won again!" That and Lady Gaga plus cloud of drones.

Not well, my team got embarrassed versus Atlanta in the divisional round. Thing is my team kicked New England's butt in Foxboro just after midseason and would have murdered them in the Superbowl. NFL football is about matchups and because of multiple injuries Atlanta was a horrible one for the Seahawks. Yet injured or not the Seahawks were bad news for the Patriots on multiple levels and reasons.

There's always next year and that's what I'm focused on now.:)

RPGPundit

Quote from: Doom;945942The spell I remember from T&T is "Yassa Massa," (aka, Charm Person) though it sucks that the current environment makes me almost too afraid to even mention it.

I'm assuming that it's been renamed in more recent editions?

Oh, heeeey! I heard the Seahawks have been pretty amazing the past few years! I guess I did osmose a football thingie! :)
Sucks that they got so many injuries that their game v. Atlanta Hawks(?) cost them final round versus the Pats. That superbowl game looked like a Hawk's cakewalk in the first half, but then I guess by the power of Gaga the Pats came back for the win. (I believe this is where I mumble something about DeflateGate and watch the sports fans explode, yes?)
Just make your fuckin\' guy and roll the dice, you pricks. Focus on what\'s interesting, not what gives you the biggest randomly generated virtual penis.  -- J Arcane

You know, people keep comparing non-TSR D&D to deck-building in Magic: the Gathering. But maybe it\'s more like Katamari Damacy. You keep sticking shit on your characters until they are big enough to be a star.

Nah, it's all about defense wins championships, offense wins a lot of games. New England had an elite defense regardless of what the media said. Atlanta was all offense and average defense at best. You just have to know about actual football statistics sites like Football Outsiders or Pro Football Reference and a few more.:)

And yes Opa, you did a NFL football thing and did pretty well and with respect in fact.
