This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I've been working on a new campaign setting inspired by Ravenloft, Bloodborne, and Darkest Dungeon. The setting can be used as-is on its own or dropped into an existing Ravenloft campaign as a new domain. Failing that, there might be some details you could steal for your own games in there somewhere. Whatever, I'm not the boss of you!

You can get a free pdf of the setting here.

Or browse the blog posts I've made about it here.

And I appreciate it.

Although, if that header image sucks I want it known publicly that it is all Aos's fault for encouraging me to uses pens & crap like that. He must carry the burden of shame.

This is very cool, thank you for sharing!

Gonna subscribe to your blog. Great stuff in there too (and it's fun to read the entries with all of the images).

Great stuff, misterguignol! I've been combing through this stuff looking for stuff to splice into my Witch Hunter game. In fact, I have half a mind to send you my uber villains for you to warp and twist.  No really, your blog is one of my regular stops, so keep it up!

Thanks. Sharing this stuff out is the only way to do it, imho. People trying to monetize their blogs or establish themselves as "the voice of the hobby" are engaged in fundamentally different activities than I am, you know?

I made some stuff, put it out there, and hopefully people will have a use for it.

Thanks! I dig your blog quite a bit as well. (Witch Hunter is one of the few rpgs I hold on to...wish there was more stuff like yours out there for it, to be honest.)

I absolutely love this short setting you've created. Would you be opposed to it being adopted for ZWEIHÄNDER and released on the home website (with full credit to you)?
No thanks.

Great stuff!!! I have been checking out Witch Hunter and I would definitely use, abuse, pervert and worship the bloody evil of Arksylvania!!!

Thank you!!!

The Butcher

Damn, that's really good. I like how you manage to pack so much inspiration in such a short document. And of course, it's a great ersatz-Transylvania.

Just curious, as the document is system-agnostic, but what ruleset are you running this with?

That would be an amazing match! I am half tempted to use Arksylvania in lieu of the standard-issue Vampire Counts next time I run WFRP.

We can probably work something out for that. Hit me up in a PM and we'll work out the details.

I appreciate the work you do in resurrecting the 1e WFRP flavor, by the way. That was the best gaming I had in high school, so I still have a lot of love for WFRP.

Thank you for saying so.
