Hey crazy kids!

Every couple of months, I type "games" into the Kickstarter search function and see what pops up. Wow. Lots of projects that make you wonder WTF the author was thinking, but among the dross, here's some that got my interest.

Of course, the big dog of the month is Rob Schwalb's Shadow of the Demon Lord, but that's got its own thread.

Here's stuff that got me interested enough to star. I have no idea if I will eventually pledge on any of them, but nothing super jumped into the "must buy" category for me.

These are beautiful. If you run sci-fi space combat, you may want to check these out. Of course, they're aimed at the minis crowd, and if I still played Battlefeet Gothic, I'd snag these in a second.

Want to vjazzle your game table? Dragons are so much cooler than pretty pretty ponies! Okay, maybe I'm being a dick, but even I have to admit the large card table sized ones are impressive looking. Not sure if I want gamers sweat on them though...

It's a Cyberpunk RPG played with cards. I'm confused, but maybe playing with cards is cool. I have never done it. Anybody know about this game?

Another card based RPG? This one is a toolbox that supposedly operates from the idea about what if Gary Gygax was a card game junkie instead of a dice tossing wargamer?

This seems like a potentially ambitious project, but I mostly wonder if the card mechanics would overshadow immersion. '

Space Furries unite! Vanguard the RPG describes itself as The Wind in the Willows meets Mass Effect. Looks interesting. I'd play a demo at a con.

You could totally make D&D pancakes! I could totally see a local convention getting one of these bad boys and selling "custom" gaming pancakes.

I'm seriously considering GNL Mats (//www.kickstarter.com/projects/gamenightlife/gnl-mats/)

even though i don't need them. My Chessex mat works just fine. Still they look pretty cool. I bet they'll fling across the room pretty well too!

I kind of regret never pulling the trigger on tact tiles but I could never justify the cost of those to myself. These seem much more reasonable.
