What are your gaming plans this weekend?

I've got play-by-post stuff to take care of for the PbP game I'm already running and to prepare for reboot of the PbP I put on hiatus last October, but our big focus right now is looking for a different place to live that's closer to our F2F gaming friends. They're 40+ miles away, which makes gaming and mini-painting gatherings pretty inconvenient.

After a midweek foray into the Gone Fishin' module (I GMd), we're back into our New World campaign (using Ambition & Avarice) on Sunday (I get to play -yea!).

So far the unusually sunny weather has allowed the game to be played in local beer gardens, much to the confusion and amusement of other patrons :)

Had a game scheduled with Ernie but the in-laws showed up instead.

I preferred to be available. Just in case.

I've been hanging around the new FLGS in town, looking at their CCG tournament schedule and seeing how I can finagle a time to run RPG demos that doesn't prevent me from working overtime or other scheduled things. So far it hasn't been working out too well due to scheduling conflicts.

And actually am going to start a new thread about that.
"Meh."

I'm secretly planning an Edge of the Empire game for my wife and two kids tomorrow. I'm creating pregens and just surprising them in the afternoon. The kids are always super into wanting to play and love Star Wars, but I've been really busy with work and haven't been able to dedicate the time to run something for them. I feel a bit guilty about it, but hopefully the game we start tomorrow will make up for it.

Its going to be set not long after Knights of the Old Republic II, when the Republic is still floundering and Jedi are super rare, and they are going to be playing a Republic Astrogation team exploring the edges of known space and mapping it, encountering alien species, hiding pirates, hidden worlds taken over by slavers or corrupt corporations.

The characters are:

For my wife I made a Human Mandalorian mercenary who had fought in the Mandalorian Wars, been present at Malachor V and is disillusioned and wandering due to the scattering of her people, but only knows how to fight. She accepted the position for the pay. She is the heavy hitter of the party and is there to help out in more martial manners.

For my daughter, a Twi'lek pilot. She used the opportunity to volunteer to be a pilot for the Republic to escape Nar Shadaa. Her job is obviously flying the ship. She does have a bit of skill with a blaster though just from being really dextrous.

For my son, a Zabrak survivalist. He is in it for the exploration. His skills are mostly used for getting around on planets.

This is so fucking great. I long for the moment I am able to play with my wife and daughter. Baby's 11 months now but some day... :)
My name is Ramón Nogueras. Running now Vampire: the Masquerade (Giovanni Chronicles IV for just 3 players), and itching to resume my Call of Cthulhu campaign (The Sense of the Sleight-of-Hand Man).

I showed up to a Star Fleet Battles games on Saturday. 3.5 hours and we got 20 impulses in to the first turn before I had to leave. I ha just hit range 5 and was prepping to hit the BATS shields and beam over boarding parties (Red Wyn Express) before I had to bail. The rest of the players made it to turn 3.

Today Sunday I prepped for my 16p Block Mania game at GenCon, got my "going to the con" stuff done, and then the wife and I participated in a playtest of Dirk Savage and the Lair of the Spider Queen for HEX. The guy will be running a bunch of sessions of it at GenCon and this is the last playtest.

Also grabbed characters for a "Space Vacation/Cthulhu LARP. I'm pretty sure me, the wife, and the my daughter (14) are going to be a family on vacation. I'm looking forward to being odious.

Finally, collected a "requests to buy things for people at GenCnn" list from rpggeek.

Big prep weekend; surprised I got some gaming in.

Skywalker

Quote from: Skywalker;679208As said, I am running two scenarios at a local Con this weekend:

Goddess of the Dark Tower for Tenra Bansho Zero

Armageddon's Children for Double Cross

Double Cross didn't happen, but Tenra Bansho Zero did. It was a truly awesome game experience, and having 4 well known GMs are players really helped see every ounce of the system and scenario used for great effect.

Unfortunately, the game didn't start today. My wife was really sick to her stomach so we couldn't really play. Built lego stuff with my son instead so still got to hang out with him.

My kids are 7 (son) and 11 (daughter) so they are right around the ages that me and my brother started playing D&D. (I was around 6, my brother was around 9). I've played some with my daughter before, but this will be my son's first game. Hopefully starting next weekend! (My wife's work schedule makes during the week impossible unfortunately.)

and Igbar is this weekend again.  More in-town political mayhem and spending of loot, especially stocking up the new property in the Tiche Plains they recently earned.

My gaming life has sucked hard since moving to Toronto. I'll be writing this weekend -- playing with myself, I guess.
