This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Who's going?  What are you interested in?

I know my kids will want the We Be Goblins Too module from Paizo, but I'm more interested in what Shadowrun 5e will look like.  Well, and what the Trolls and Goodman have in mind, too.

(And gee, Free RPG Day also coincides with WotC's D&D Game Day.  Who's piggybacking on whom?)

I think you need to include your ZIP code after it.

I was all about it, requested off work, and then!..

one person got fired over a bullshit reason, and another person quit. I asked a friend to get me the LotFP offering, but I don't know if that will happen since he got a press pass to Origins and will be there all weekend.

So basically, I can not participate, again, and will miss out on everything... yet again. What this means is that I've only ever been able to go to a game store once in however long this promo has happened. Once. And that one time, I didn't get anything useful at all. That was 3 years ago.

The lesson: don't work for an auto parts company in the U.S.

I only 'want' a couple things, and my FLGS is pretty generous.

Everloss, if I can grab a LotFP adventure for you, I'll ping you.

That's very kind of you!

I was thinking the same thing, although I'm in IT.  Of course, when we do get time off we get paged back into work....

The nearest flgs isnt doing it this year due to preferring to plug the latest piece of crap cardgame or something instead this saturday, to be honest though other than those steampunk d6's theres not much i actually want from that tiny list...what happened to all the companies who used to make a big deal outta free rpg day?

I think the only major group not on the list from last year was WotC, and they're doing their "D&D Game Day" on the 15th as well, so the net is that it's about the same.  Harn isn't there, but Tunnels and Trolls is.  No Exalted, but a V:tR adventure is available.  No Warhammer, but the new Star Wars is.  Lamentations is there, replacing the Steampunk LARP.
