This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Game Style Quiz

I noticed a link to a Gaming Style Quiz in John Morrow's signature.  It seems that arguments about gaming style seem to come up frequently, with different suspicions about where a particular poster might be coming from.

http://quizfarm.com/quizzes/Fashion/ellydragon/laws-game-style/

To that end, it might be helpful to take the quiz and post your results (optional, of course).  It might help other people see where you MIGHT be coming from.

I Scored as Tactician:
You're probably a military buff who wants to have the chance to think through complex problems. You want the rules, and your GM's interpretation of them, to match up what happens in the real world or at least be consistant. You want challenging yet logical obstacles to overcome.

And when I say that you are a horse\'s ass, I mean that the objective truth is that you are a literal horse\'s ass.

Your post consists two lines in the beginning which start out interesting, than two screens worth of HMTL gibberish. This is NOT how you embed anything in a post.

Also, I wish people could just cast a single quick glance at their own posts after submitting them, it would prevent embarassments like this.

EDIT: Okay, so you've edited it while I was typing. Now it's only FIVE LINES of HTML gibberish rather than 2 screens. :P

EDIT 2: Oh, THAT old thing. I must have seen that 20 times at least. But, whatever, it's just a tradition now, I'll post mine.

I was trying to fix it when you posted...  It indicated that it had a 'copy/paste' section that I thought indicated it would be correct for the board.  Turned out it doesn't.

It has been a while since I have done this, but I think I usually come out with method actor and butt kicker near tied, followed by specialist and tactician.

I'll note that I object to the categories outlined in this test. I don't agree with Laws' logic and classification thereof.

Now with that said I scored:

Tactician 100%
Method Actor 83%
Butt-Kicker    67%
Storyteller 58%
Specialist 58%
Power Gamer 58%

Casual Gamer 25%

I've done this test three times or more. Each time the results vary. What's constant is that I score Tactician and Method Actor first, usually above 90%. One time I scored Tactician and Method Actor both at 100%.
