This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Thank you to Sacrosanct

I just wanted to make a public "Thank you"  to Sacrosanct Games from my little corner of the 'Deployed Gamers' world.

He sent over a good bit of his Compact Heroes product for me to distribute to other gamers, which arrived today, and he also donates part of his profits to Veteran's charities.

So, speaking from my little corner of the world, Thank you!

I'm going to be taking what you've sent to Bagram Airfield the next time I head down there, and I'll get it distributed, and I'll be buying a couple sets when I get back in a couple months.  I know any gamers who get it are going to enjoy having something as portable as CH to play with, and I'll be including a note with them to send you an email or post on your store about their experiences.  I'm also going to see about getting you an official 'thank you' COA sent.

Edit:  I have a scanner and printer here, so I'll be making one of the packets of downloads that you sent for each of the base systems, and including your website and the email address there for them to send thank you's of their own later.

Thanks again!

Spike

For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.

I'm glad you got them all in one piece!

And to be honest, if you really want to help support me, the best way is to ask your game store to supply the game rather than order from me directly.  It is being carried by the main distributors, so they should be able to get you a copy.

And yes, I do give $1 of every sale to the Fisher House.  They are one of the top rated veteran's charities out there, and have one of the highest ratios of donation $ to actual usage.

Thanks again Sebald, and watch yo self bro.
D&D is not an "everyone gets a ribbon" game.  If you\'re stupid, your PC will die.  If you\'re an asshole, your PC will die (probably from the other PCs).  If you\'re unlucky, your PC may die.  Point?  PC\'s die.  Get over it and roll up a new one.

Hudos Sacro... glad to say I've purchased from you and glad to know part of that is helping our Vets

Wow, that was a really nice thing to do. And none of us would have known about it if Panzerkraken didn't give public thanks, which in its discretion is even cooler. I doff my beanie to thee.

You know, people keep comparing non-TSR D&D to deck-building in Magic: the Gathering. But maybe it\'s more like Katamari Damacy. You keep sticking shit on your characters until they are big enough to be a star.

Nahualt

Very nice, I'll be checking your page out to see if I can throw some money your way.

Every little thing helps!

Like he said though, the best way to help him would be to go through your FLGS; he's registered with distributors, so by creating a demand through orders, they wind up ordering a stock, which boosts his business.  As they get a stock, distributors start running promotions, which increases exposure, which increases demand, in a circular pattern.  I'll put off my buying to order through the shop near my base when he gets back, and I'll let them know that he's got a Vet-owned and operated company so they can help push it as well.
