This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Cyberpunk is one step closer to reality!

For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.

A spider silk suit that could stop bullets. I want one. The stylish protective wear of the future is upon us!

I would skip the skin weave for now however, in ten years? Maybe.

Well, it is a start. Stopping a .22 cal handgun bullet (and NOT a rifle bullet shot at half velocity like said in the video) is not that hard, but comparing those 4 layers of silk to around 33 layers in kevlar...it is impressive. Body armor would still have to be bulky though, since it has to dissipate the force of the bullet over a large area or else localized shock could still kill someone. It would at least be lighter and more flexible than the protective wear today.
Just when I thought I was out...they pull me back in.

Running: Dark Heresy
Playing: Nope
Planning: more stuff for Dark Heresy/Alternity Mass Effect thingy
