Anybody care to share your thoughts on this game? Just purchased and it seems spiffy  albeit very focused.
Cool art...:)
Form the group wisely, make sure you share goals and means.
Set norms of table etiquette early on.
Encourage attentive participation and speed of play so the game will stay vibrant!
Allow that the group, milieu and system will from an organic symbiosis.
Most importantly, have fun exploring the possibilities!

I got it when it came out. I remember liking it, but nothing about the system.

I have only given it a look and quick read. Chargen looks fast and a nice character sheet. This is not a crunchy system that much is obvious.
Did you play,if so anything stand out?

I have run it 4 times as one-shots at cons.   Great game for just having a fun sorcerous romp.   It could easily do a Harry Potter game.

The system is very freeform and rules-lite.  You describe your spell based on one of the four elements (fire, water, air, earth) or other element of your choosing.  These are mostly just for fluff and atmosphere, except you need the opposite element for counterspells.   I also like the ability to create Constructs / Summoned Monsters.

My players have had mixed experiences.   Those who like to create stuff on the fly and describe magical effects without caring about mechanics always love the game and rush to the dealer's room to buy a copy.   Those gamers who need spell lists and clearly defined mechanical effects have not enjoyed the game.

Thanks for the great info! :)
Can you relate an experience with epic magick (or whatever the uber effect spells are called)? :)

Naw. Sorry. Too many other things I wanted to play more.
