Maybe they're hell bent intent on repeating history again (ie. 1990's TSR), hoping things will be different this time around.

Angry people who are not paying customers, are probably largely ignored by WotC.

Probably the only time a company will ever give into angry people, is if it affects revenue greatly and/or it produces a lot of lawsuits or really bad publicity in the form of government hearings or class action lawsuits.

WTF?  Hopefully he posts the letter.  How stupid is WOTC?  ENWorld is  like the last bastion of supporters outside their own message boards.   Maybe they want the entire message board content of the internet for  their own as well.

I would suspect, if I had to guess, that it has something to do with  people posting shit with proprietary WOTC stuff in it, like power cards  or stat blocks of something they think they own.
