Apropos of nothing, I'd just like to mention that homeschooled kids tend to be better-adjusted and more socially adept than public-schooled kids. Excepting those who were homeschooled for religious reasons, of course.

Stereotypes galore.

My wife's a teacher, and she is greatly interested in home schooling. What you say is correct, Iain, in terms of tendencies for children to actually be more socially adept and better adjusted than most other kids, but these remain tendencies, with all sorts of extremes on the spectrum, and not necessarily religious ones.

The jury is still out on that, but I will agree that the religious ones tend to be schooled at home because the parents prefer their isolation, hence the children tend not to be well adjusted overall for a number of reasons.

I assume that by "religious", you mean "born-again Christians", "evangelists" and similar extreme views.
I'm sorry. As a religious person myself, it's a pet-peeve of mine.

For the record, I can't speak for Iain, but I was referring to the wingnuts and not the more mainstream religious adherents.

I will post on the Citadel, I promise. It may not be until Saturday because I have a few projects to finish up, but I will.

Excellent, we'll get start getting some other areas revved up!

Don't re-arrange your schedule or anything, I am just messing with you; even though we have a desperate need for Traveller wonks.  :)
