This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Machinegun Blue

Maelstrom. Published by Penguin Books sometime in the 80s. Written by a high schooler, it's set in 16th century England and features a WFRP like career system. You can get it as a pdf nowadays. I liked it.

Yeah, I mentioned that in the original post. Thanks for looking, though.

Aos

Savage Worlds of Solomon Kane- probably won't scratch your particular itch though.
You are posting in a troll thread.

Metal Earth

Cosmic Tales- Webcomic

Yeah, I missed that. I was wondering why you overlooked the game :o

Tetsubo

Northern Crown is set in early 17th century in the New World. But it could be cranked back a bit quite easily. I did a recent review of it here:

To me, Maelstrom would be the best game for this sort of thing; though Alatriste would come a close second.

I'm trying to remember if there was a GURPS sourcebook that covered this era. There was GURPS Swashbucklers for sure, and that was quite a good book.

I had a hoot watching the review. Spot on. And I agree about the price being too steep.

Thank you. I noticed that the two books are rather reasonably priced on the Amazon secondary market at the moment. I love buying used stuff off of Amazon. Just this past week I sold my first used book through Amazon.
