Anyone tried this? http://www.rpgtonight.com/

Sounds to me a bit like the old Webrpg .
New! Cyberblues City - like cyberpunk, only more mellow. Free, fully illustrated roleplaying game based on the Fudge system
Bounty Hunters of the Atomic Wastelands, a post-apocalyptic western game based on Fate. It\'s simple, it\'s free and it\'s in colour!

I've heard of tabletop programs . . . so am I right in thinking the difference with this is that it's all on the site with no download/installation of a computer program necessary?

I just checked out the screenshots. I'm pretty decent at figuring out how to use things, but it's so . . . ugly. So very, very ugly. Just no.

Because it's so customizable (albeit with effort), I'm considering trying to use it for playtesting my games at odd hours. Is the user-unfriendliness GM-side, player side, or both?

I can deal with GM side.

Alternately, I'll just use one of the other VTTS like Maptool.

The Mosaic Oracle is on sale now. It\'s a raw, open-sourced game design Toolk/Kit based on Lurianic Kabbalah and Lambda Calculus that uses English key words to build statements. If you can tell stories, you can make it work. It fits on one page. Wait for future games if you want something basic; an implementation called Wonders and Worldlings is coming soon.

Oh man, I had no idea how ugly that thing is!

The nice thing about it being browser based is that there would be no one had to host and there would be not need for messing about with ports and firewalls.

But, boy, it really is shockingly ugly.

Drohem

I have looked at the site and wondered how well it worked, especially since it seems like a place for pick-up games.  I just haven't had the time to give a try.  I would be very interested in any feedback from people who have actually played using that site.
