Nazis are, I think everyone will agree, the perfect villains. They're immediately recognizeable, they're unquestionably evil, its utterly ok to hate them; and yet they also have good uniforms and crazy death-machines (even in real life, they dabbled with both occultism and super-science!).

Apart from putting them in their actual historical context, I've seen Nazis thrown into all kinds of other genres.

So here's the point of this thread: Pick a setting or genre, and explain what the Nazis are doing there.

Stahl Rose, Nazis invade Aldea. An accident in sleep deprivation torture/experiments allows Nazi "dream inflirtrators" acces to Aldea through the dreams of it's more susceptible citizens. The Awakened join forces with corrupt nobles (The Silence) and renegade Kern necromancers, to raise an undead army outfitted with Nazi regalia - undead knights adorned with swastikas etc.

Never fear. Right thinking German students have discovered this heinous plan and in a daring raid on a Nazi facility, stole the....um...secrets of dream travel. Travelling by dream to Aldiss they discover that they can only link with the sentinent telephatic animals - no worries since they were flirting with furrydom anyway. They create a secret organizastion known as The White Rose, to fight the Nazis....

Okay.

Through judicious careful use of a wish spell, Iuz conjures a one-use device to allow him to search the multiverse for a suitable counterpart with whom he can double his power (and eventually usurp).  He finds a world strangely like his own - called Earth - and tries to contact his obvious counterpart, a mighty commander of armies, one Adolf Hitler.

However, this "Hitler" is no magic-user, but Iuz is able to contact a group close to Hitler called the "Thule Society".  With Iuz's instruction, the Thule Society is able to send a group of their mightiest warriors to Iuz's aid (along with some of their wondrous devices (MP40, Panzerfaust, stick grenades, maybe a PzKfw-IV!)) to prove themselves worthy of Iuz's assistance in their own world.

Thus a full company of SS Panzergrenadiers arrives on Greyhawk to help Iuz overthrow his rivals in return for the Old Man's help in winning the war.

In 1945 the Allies thought they had crushed the Nazi's, winning WWII. But they were wrong. Hitler didnt die of suicide in a bunker. He and other important members of the nazi party escaped. For you see the technology that the allies recovered after ther war was only the tip of the iceberg. The really advanced stuf they took with them.
For they actually perfected the V-10 "New York" rocket. But instead of using it to strike targets in America. They used it to move into space. By 44' they had established a base on the moon. So by the time the German homeland was overrun in 45'. They had moved all important personel and equipment to the moon.
1955 ten years after the defeat of the third Reich. The Nazis appear again. Except this time they have begun taking over the world. By holding countries hostage. They are using the moon as an orbital bombardment platform. Using kinetic bombardment, by using a magnetic catapult to launch large rocks, shaped into columns. These columns strike with the force of a 10 kilotons of force.
They are attemping genocide against certain countries and the forcing other under there thumb.
You are the freedom fighters in this brave new world. Whether it is guerrilla fighting in the occupied lands, the infiltration and destroying the nazi war machine from the inside, or attempting the trip into space to take the battle to the Nazi home base.

I've been thinking of doing a Weird War game, but I'm not sure where to begin - WW2 is a huge period. More importantly, it's a dynamic period. Setting it after the war like this might be a good idea.

The current generation of Nazis are insane, super-strong mutants created by the ship's degraded cloning module.  Mein Kampf is the basis of their warrior culture, and the new arrivals had better hope they look gentile...

Desperate to finish the Atomic Bomb before the Allies, the Nazis make a wild gambit. Using the Thule Society's time machine, they send a legion of the best-trained SS troops along with scientists back by a few dozen million years, to a few years after the big meteor has struck, wiping out most of the dinosaurs. Their mission: to gather fragments of this meteor, which contained a source of nuclear power stronger than Earth-based minerals, and return them to the present to use in a doomsday device.

What they don't know is that the radiation from the very same meteor has mutated the surviving dinosaurs, enhancing their intelligence to near-human levels. When they arrive to the desolation of the distant past, the Nazis find themselves quickly becoming a target for the planet's most lethal predators... ever.

Can the the players' dinosaurs, lacking technology but equipped with human intelligence and the natural weapons of evolution, beat back the Nazi menace? And can they take the fight into the research base and beyond the Time Gate - into the heart of Nazi Germany, 1943?
