This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Squirrelonomicon?

Linda and I are considering a squirrel collection of all the adventures and the core rules. We would call it the Squirrelonomicon.

Thoughts? Do you like compilation books?

It definitely attracts my interest:  The appeal is that I can buy into the Squirrel mythos (as it were) without worrying (a) If I don't get books A, B and C am I missing something crucial or (b) If I get books A, B and C am I paying for the same material three times.

The all-in-one-book solution makes it an emotionally easier buy-in, because I have some sense that I'm getting the complete, but not redundant, set.

This is what I am shooting for. Also, I wonder if Squirrelonomicon Only Material should be added. A couple of adventures you only find in there or something. Maybe a Cthulu spoof.

Would that sweeten the pot?

Are there any nuts that no squirrel was meant to eat? ;)

Uhhh ... not really for me.  What would sweeten the heck out of the pot is if the books are edited and rearranged such that the central rules (if any) are only presented once.  Again, the whole "I don't want to pay for the same rules twice" (even indirectly, through an inflated page-count that bumps the price of the book) concern.

I suppose more material is more material, but ... it's not going to be more new to me than much of the material you already have on hand.  That's my bad for not buying your stuff earlier, but there you have it.

Pshaw...nobody loves Bill's nuts as much as me...

Wait..that doesn't sound quite...

Regardless, I think it's great. What would be included? Shoalin? Ahoy? Spaaaace!?

EDIT: BTW - you need some stock at Games Plus.  Curt actually had to walk me to that back stand to find Shaolin
