This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

D20 WH40K--has anyone seen this?

It's not really my bag but given all the discussion of late, I thought I'd link it:

Jesus Christ!

The map is incredible!

Wonder how it plays?
I start from his boots and work my way up. It takes a good half a roll to encompass his jolly round belly alone. Soon, Father Christmas is completely wrapped in clingfilm. It is not quite so good as wrapping Roy but it is enjoyable nonetheless and is certainly a feather in my cap.

Blackhand

This is D20 Modern.

Weak.

That map is an amalgam of many WH40k maps of the Imperium given in multiple volumes.

So GW doesn't have a habit of sending C&D letters to sites like that?

I dig the map. But I'm not a fan of d20 Modern so it ain't my cup of tea. Props to the people running the site for being creative and whatnot. They got balls though: I hope GW doesn't slap them around any.

They're not selling anything.  GW doesn't care.  Besides, like 5 people downloaded it.

Before anyone says that Damnatus wasn't selling anything, that had to do with copyright laws differing in Germany from U.K. laws in the distribution clauses.  In Germany, the film can be free...but the DVD you got it on wouldn't be.  GW put a halt to that and they desisted...

I've seen it before, it's been around a while.

I don't think its all that good, fanboyitis and all that. Did you look at the stats for the Assassins? They don't even need to roll dice to be better than most of humanity.

Still, at least (unlike, say Dark Heresy) he actually has some stuff on the Tau...
For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

This is a good example of why all the 40k stuff in one rpg book would SUCK.

You want Space Marines, and straight DOG on Dark Heresy for not including them.  Space Marines wouldn't even need to roll to be better than most of humanity and you'd complain SO HARD if that made it to print.

Great Gods!! The irony strikes me.  We could have saved all that argument just by pointing at this.

You're defending a system that couldn't even scale its own subject matter properly?

Of course, the real irony is that there actualy is only one book, unintentional though it may be.

Blackhand

I guess you'd know what was proper.

There may only be one book, but it doesn't have everything in it.

That's a good thing.

I am not responsible for your poor reading comprehension. Dawg.

You're responsible for writing things only you can comprehend.

I guess that means you failed the Reading Comprehension on the GED.

Lets go ahead and turn this thread into another Flame Bloat and be done with it, now that we're back to fighting.

I dunno.  Why does Blackhand compose every post in mis-metered haiku?
