As an idea mine, it is gold. As an actual reference book, the lack of a detailed table of contents and total lack of an index crippled it to the point of uselessness.

I could be wrong but I think they are refering to instruments and readouts. From aircraft cockpits gauges to industrial machines gauges/readouts to medical equipment readouts.

I used to be in the digital instrumentation business a few years ago and i refute the crazy claims of Jim Pinto being the poet laureate of the industry!
