This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Thing is. This is really nothing new. Various companies have been hiring him since the KS blew up.

I'd lay good odds some were roped in by his repertoire of sob stories un-aware at the time. But now? After how many years? Feigning ignorance is not an option.

Yeah, by now one hopes that they should know. What surprises me is that these companies trust him to deliver!?

Quote from: Naburimannu;1069241What was the Zak/Macris interaction? I don't recall seeing it.

Zak took money to produce a new series of his D&D With Pornstars show for the Escapist, and then rather than finishing it he declared that Macris was an Alt-Right Hatemonger in a public denunciation, and then quit.

OK, if Zak kept the money that's theft, but if Zak returned the money that strikes me as a bit of unreliability which frankly isn't far out of the norm? But discussing that any further probably belongs on your forum rather than here.

They trust him to deliver because he does. He does good work when he has to answer to someone else. When he can set his own deadlines, he really slows down.

As far as I can tell he was paid on a per-episode basis and just didn't produce anything beyond what he had already been paid for. I don't think he took any money for shows that were not produced. I could be wrong though as I am not hugely informed on the matter, but it looked that way to me on first look.  Is anyone claiming he owes them money?
