This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Probably Mutant Future. I've used the mutation tables and some of the gear.

A "monstrous compendium" .doc from S&W that I downloaded from somewhere gets a lot of clicks.
Old School? Back in my day we just called it "School."

MKoth

WFRP 1ed Enemy Within/Shadows Over Bogenhafen. Used the 2 lists of NPCs in the back (and the stats for the wizard baddy in the adventure just a couple pages before) for two long running non-Old World campaigns, plus the map of Bogenhafen was great to base a campaign out of before I started making my own maps.

Not OSR but 5e (O5R?) - I used large amounts of "Streets of Zobeck" in my Wilderlands 5e game, putting bits in various different towns around my campaign area.

I mostly use OSR adventures, so they just get plonked into my campaign settings. I only use OSRIC in OSRIC game, S&W in S&W game. I used tons of Basic Fantasy RPG stuff in my Mentzer Classic D&D campaign. Obviously setting specific elements get changed, but I used the new BFRPG monsters from the monster book. Recently been using 'Morgansfort & Beyond' set in Wilderlands just south of the City State.

For me, curiously, I'd say it's probably Hulks & Horrors (for my gonzo stuff, where I want to include sci-fi stuff), and Yoon-Suin (for weird locales and as a kind of weird-land supplement for Arrows of Indra).

Yes, H&H is great and I bought a copy with plans to use for White Star. Since the White Star game ended early I might just run H&H proper though.

Yes, it was a great game. Pity that the designer of H&H was such a dumbass.

How so? Did I miss some drama?

I think the author sort of blamed the audience for the game not hitting the goals envisioned.  Oh, and the author promoted his kickstarter on forums and whatnot that had a no advertising policy (or just posted them in the wrong places on forums that are fine with it) and then cried when the posts were moved, closed or deleted.  Then the blaming the gaming community for being a bunch of sexists and racists and the usual smearing of gamers for being the wrong sort of people started.

QuoteAs well, I have found over the last couple of years, that the online RPG scene has become an increasingly toxic environment which I no longer wished to have any part of. Book burnings, harassment, racism, sexism, and all manner of other ugly behaviors came to define the part of the industry I'd found myself part of, while the other parts of the community had made it abundantly clear they weren't interested in my being part of that either.

Hulks & Horrors is an excellent game are a really useful book for lots of campaigns that want to add a sci-fi or sci-fantasy element.  And probably more stuff too.

It's just sort of sad that the author went a bit loopy and started the blame and smear game when his efforts didn't meet his goals.

Didn't know that. Somehow not surprised.
