This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Teodrik

Basic Fantasy

Swords&Wizardry Complete

Blood&Treasure 1ed

Dark Dungeons ( use it together with BECM or RC)

Herne's Son

Basic Fantasy
Swords & Wizardry Whitebox
S&W Complete
Labyrinth Lord
Fantastic Heroes & Witchery
Whitebox
Blueholme

And probably a few more I've totally forgotten...

Fiasco

Chainsaw

Run and played lots of:

Astonishing Swordsman & Sorcerers of Hyperborea (AS&SH)
Swords & Wizardry White Box

I have used OSRIC many, many times, but more as a supplement to 1E than as a stand-alone game.

danskmacabre

Scarlet Heroes: (ran it 1 on 1 for my daughter for a while)
Stars without Number: (Running 1st and 2nd edition over several years)
Other Dust: (used with SWN, also ran a few dedicated Other Dust sessions)
Godbound: (Recently been running this at an open table RPG club)
Silent Legions: (Ran a few one off sessions for friends for a Horror movie and RPG night)
Does Palladium count? It certainly feels OSR. I played it a bit many years ago.
Used Labyrinth Lord content in other RPGs

There's probably others, but that's it off the top of my head.

Have run:

C&C
BFRPG
AS&SH

Have played:

OSRIC
Swords & Wizardry
LL + AEC
Mutant Future

I usually run the original/older games, and make use of "OSR" materials as resources/supplements for my games, rather than as games to be played. For example, I like OSRIC, and I'll happily use its supplements and adventures, but I'd use them in my AD&D game. Same goes for S&W and original D&D. Et cetera. Back when I ran C&C and BFRPG I was trying them out, but I ended up just going back to TSR D&D. A notable exception to that overall trend is AS&SH: I like that enough, and it's integrated with its setting enough, to run it as its own thing.
The problem is not that power corrupts, but that the corruptible are irresistibly drawn to the pursuit of power. Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito.

Someone mentioned 'mixing and matching', which is a good point. If you count main/primary system I've played hardly any OSR game at all (LotFP, DCC, Arrows of Indra, Dark Albion/Lion & Dragon, and that's pretty much it). But I've used dozens and dozens of OSR books in those few campaigns, because I think a big part of the OSR is the cross-compatibility it all has.
LION & DRAGON: Medieval-Authentic OSR Roleplaying is available now! You only THINK you\'ve played \'medieval fantasy\' until you play L&D.

Ran:
  • Adventurer, Conqueror, King (ACKS)
  • Astonishing Swordsmen and Sorcerers of Hyperborea (AS&SH)
  • Dungeon Crawl Classics (DCC)
  • Fantastic Heroes & Witchery (FHW)
  • Stars Without Number (SWN)
  • Hackmaster Basic (HMB) & Hackmaster 5e (HM5)
  • Swords & Wizardry (S&W) and Labyrinth Lord (LL) - although if I want Basic I usually use Moldvay
  • Spears of the Dawn (SoD) - Love this game.  Major project I'm working on when I have time is a Hyperborean Black Kingdoms campaign with Mythras incorporating the SoD ideas.

Played:
  • Astonishing Swordsmen and Sorcerers of Hyperborea (AS&SH)
  • Dungeon Crawl Classics (DCC)
  • Stars Without Number (SWN)
  • Hackmaster Basic (HMB) & Hackmaster 5e (HM5)

Read then Looted and Pillaged:
Beyond the Wall (BtW)
Lamentations of the Flame Princess (LotFP) - I usually use their modules with other systems.
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

Yes, Sean Connery\'s thumb does indeed do megadamage. - Spinachcat

Isuldur is a badass because he stopped Sauron with a broken sword, but Iluvatar is the badass because he stopped Sauron with a hobbit. -Malleus Arianorum

"Tangency Edition" D&D would have no classes or races, but 17 genders to choose from. -TristramEvans

I own more than I've played.

I've run Labyrinth Lord, Basic Fantasy RPG, S&W and Black Hack.

I'd list Freebooters on the Frontier, but pretty sure I'd catch flak from some folks.

I'm not 100% sure which games are OSR, but judging by the lists others have posted, then I have to say none of them.
