This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Hey Pooka (and the rest of the fey in charge),

Has there been any interest in a story hour forum on here?

I have been thinking I want to start reposting and edited version of my "Out of the Frying Pan" story hour with lots of meta-game commentary about how I ran the game and why I made the decisions I made, etc. . .   And I would happily do it on these boards, but at the same time only one person does not a story hour forum make (and I am not quite ready to start anyway), so I figured I would start this thread to see if anyone else has mentioned it to the management, or if there are other posters who will see this thread and chime in with what they think. . .

Pooka did say something at one point that there was a special section for stories in the works.

We believe that story hours will get their own space.  We will ask Pooka for sure, though.

Any idea when we might see this?  I have one all typed up and ready to go.  I was trying to use MySpace (lol) for it, but I discovered that MySpace is ass.  It won't let me post any more topics in the group I set up, so fuck em.

Eager to have a home for my game notes, and it would likely lure my players here.  :)

If I can get this new extension to work on the test machine it could be as early as this weekend - but right now I can't get it to do the simplest thing :(

Story Hours will be handled as Collaborative Works. To start one click "create content" then select a book page.  Once you're on your way I'll coalate them into a book and set you as the editor for that book.

If we get enough of them they'll get their own tab.

Story Hours show up in two places - Feature Articles and Collaborative works. They also have a menu entry. This is by design - his story is physically only in one place.

Ah, I see. I didn't notice it showed up in Collaborative Works.

Somebody please explain to me what exactly a story hour is?
  1. A robot may not harm a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
   2. A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
   3. A robot must protect its own existence, as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
