tag option somewhere? I don't see it in any of the little buttons above.
It appears that spoiler tags need to be a mod for Simple Machines forums and I don't know if any are installed.

They all seem to be buggy, so no joy unless I write my own at some point.
Hmm, well if you give it go, I think something like a block of black text on a black background would be a simpler way to do it. Just highlight the line rather than trying to detect mouse activity or any other trick.
I had some free time, so I created a new spoiler tag.

It may pose issues on mobile devices. A click on the area should reveal it, however, in those cases.
