Dude : You (and those working with you on this site , ofcourse) deserve a solid platinum medal for this job.
And then I'm not even taking into consideration , there's still some stuff in the works...

I think it is going well. The pickup has been slow, but I think that's a good thing. I would rather see this place build up as an organic board in its own right than be forced into doing so. That's why although I understand Bullitt's attempt to drum up traffic here, I would rather not see a bunch folks come crashing through the doors just because. Let everything build naturally and hopefully we will get a great, open community here unlike any other.

Ditto.

I also think that it's fine not having all features at the start.  It lets us get used to them one at a time.

Ditto!  This isn't Nothingland, this isn't a cheesy ENWorld ripoff -- it is its own thing, and deserves some time to grow.  :)

ditto about the "let it grow" and progressive access to features.

A really nice start.  There has been  some little things I didn't like but I'm much more focused on what I like so I'm not really worried (plus, most of what could been  solved has been).
I'm pretty sure there will be other things I won't like, from the users or the features or whatever else. But you know what ? This place is useful to me, the admins are really doing interesting stuff to build it and make it pleasant, so I won't be stupid  enough to say "either this place is perfect now for me (even at the expense of everybody else) or I quit".

Most board users (including me) are quite used to be spoiled internet brats. Don't let them ruin your enthousiasm !

Thanks,

Chacal

This is one of the better constructed sites I've seen.  The board looks amazing and so far the community growing here is strong.  Plus for as many users that came here from the demise of Nothingland it's got a distint personality of it's own.

you're doing a great job so far pooka (and everyone else who's contributing to the site's construction). I voted option two, because there's one last bit that I'm really waiting for - the Reviews System. once that comes up, i'm happy as a pig in shit.

While I was miffed at first (I'm used to all the VBulletin goodies at my fingertips), my appreciation of this place has grown by leaps and bounds. Never thought I'd see a good alternative to ENWorld but Pooka, you have proved me wrong, to my delight. You even got me actually talking about gaming instead of trying to come up with the best punchline for everything.

I guess this means my days as the witty, one-liner spewing Message Board Smart-Ass are over... :(

We think that, since Boz is effectively tied for the second most posts on the board, that he is doing more than poking his head in.  We expect a furniture delivery on Monday.

But we also hope that the RPG Site does get interest from a certain, select segment of the ENWorld populace.

Are you saying there's something wrong with Alphaville?

Let's dance in style
Let's dance for a while
Heaven can wait, we're only watching the skies
Hoping for the best but expecting the worst
Are you gonna drop the bomb or not?
Let us die young or let us live forever
We don't have the power but we never say never
Sitting in the sand pit
Life is a short trip
The music's for the sad man
Can you imagine when this race is won
Turn our golden faces into the sun
Praising our leaders for getting in tune
The music's played by the
the mad man

Forever young
I want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever
forever
who'll never
Forever young
I want to be forever young
Do you really want to live forever
forever young

We have a story about singing redcaps.

The last time we heard a redcap sing, it was just after it had completed the slaughter of a small village in northern canada. The heads of his victims were all neatly piled in a circle around a 4-foot wide and rather tall circle of entrails.

He was dancing around it, singing that song from Titanic, and alternately screaming about how the villagers deserved it for foisting Celine Dion upon the world.

We had much sympathy for that poor redcap, that day.

We Redcaps are very sensitive to the evils that exist in the world.  We don't like the ones that we aren't causing ourselves, you see.

We wanted to do something similar over Avril Lavigne, but we thought it was too derivative.  But when we do think up a suitable vengeance, the dirt streets of backwater Canada will run red with blood...

This site is most appealing visually.  I absolutely love this skin.  It's very easy on the eyes.  I'm confused as to what the little green dot is for, is there a rep system here?
And although I've played rpg's for a good portion of my life, I still consider myself new to it.  So when I get organized I will need some advice on where I should take my rogue/psychic warrior.  I've never played these classes and have no idea what to do with them.  I've only ever played wizards and druids and decided to branch out into the unknown.

Images in blogs or story hours allowed to be hotlinked or shown instead of the crappy little link.

Oh, and recently the link hasn't been showing when something is uploaded. You might want to check, there might be 2 or three copies of a picture I tried to upload today.
