I don't use them, but only because they are never really relevant to what I'm trying to say. Consider: Ass to Mouth is practically main stream behavior, fully accepted among the porn industry, perfectly permissible, if expensive, with certain hookers, and something that goes on in select bedrooms around america, and probably the rest of the world on a semi-regular basis. True: Shit stains usually mean the deal is off.

Ax murder and some of the other smily actions, if done in real life, would cause a national sensation and certainly the absolute vilification, and possible execution, of the offending person without exception.

Oddly, when reduced to little yellow balls with faces on them, the sexual acts are the perversions and embarrassing secrets while the violent fantasies are perfectly normal and acceptable.

There are two reasonable solutions in my mind to avoid looking like an utter ass for attempting to remove the sexual smily

1: Call for the banning of the violent smilies alongside them, in fact any remotely offensive smily. Include the roll-eyes for good measure, fuck it.  

2: Shut your damn mouth and realize that we are talking about smilies and adult company and let it fucking be.  


This, of course, sounds a bit odd in context of my apparent position in the Poison'd thread in question. Note, however, that I am decrying only slightly the presence of 'rape fantasy' behavior, wherein we adopt the the position of enjoying victimizing others, and seriously decrying making such juvenile behavior part of the public face of the hobby like it's a good thing. Here I am defending the right for all of us to be mature, or immature adults and enjoy an amusing, if possibly disturbing, cartoon if we so chose.   The line only appears fine if you lump all sexual and public behavior together blindly.

Really, I think that 'obscene' smilies, while kind of surprising to me, tell more about the user then the site.

I mean, ban 'em if you want. No skin off my back, just my opinion. As for my previous post, I just wanted an excuse, no matter how flimsy, to use a bunch of those. I didn't even notice some.

Really, if I had to make my guess, the worst offenders are ones nobody has brought up yet; I'd probably say the Downs Syndrome smilies, though pretty amusing, are the worst.

Personally, I have nothing against boobs.  I'm pro-boob.  I find the flat blank smiley faces with realistic boobs a bit creepy though.

And I wouldn't mind being rid of that damn swastika.  I can see a vaguely legit use of it, here in the electronic land of Godwinia, but I've long been concerned actual goddamn Nazis would stumble across the site and somehow think they were in friendly territory.
