Let me add some words of thanks to Pooka for stepping up like this.  I got stuck in a crappy  situation at work last year A server crash wiped out all of a client's data and the guy that broke it came crying to me to fix it, and we ended up losing a  $xxx,xxx client over it.  I know how much it sucks getting called in to try and make the best of a really bad situation, and speaking as someone who has been there and done that  -- THANK YOU!.

as far as possibly (likely?) losing threads goes, i am for once *very very* glad that i've been on hiatus from Creature Catalog conversions all year.  :)  won't be losing any threads then...

but i will mourn the loss of the FC1 demon threads i started.  :(  fortunately, they served their primary purpose before their tragic loss.  ;)

speaking of CM, if it's included in the same rebuilding effort, would you want a redirect of some sort there as well?  some people go there and not enworld, and they may be lost right now.

On http://39.freebb.com/circvsminimvs/, IUD has said the database seems fine as he can still access it.

On I posted a comment on Morrus' blog and Morrus has said that it should be ok.

Hopefully it will be, but I wouldn't bet 100% for it just yet. ;)
