This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Collaborative Works Idea: Tables A' Plenty

OK, so that likely isn't the best name for it.  My idea is to create a series of percentile-based lists/tables fpr our collaborative works section.  They can be on any topic that might be of use in game, from Book Titles to City Professions to Weapons In An Armory to Berries Found in The Woods.  Ideally, if the subject isn't big enough to give you 100 individual entries, it should still contain as many entries as possible.  I was thinking about this simple format:

Title

01:  Apple
02:  Peach
03:  Plum

and so forth, or

Title

01-02:  Salt
03-04:  Pepper

-and so on, if you didn't have 100 entries.

Thoughts?  Ideas?  Like?  Dislike?  I think this could be a really useful product, and it's something that wouldn't take too much work for folks to contribute to.

Easy enough for me to make for you if you can type up a prompt to serve as the main node. I'll C+P it in and get you set up when you're ready.

Great!  You just need a paragraph describing the project?

More or less. Like a preface with full requirements on what you expect out of a submission.

Still any plans to do this? I can set you guys up whenever.

I really want to, but I think I'm gonna have to put in on hold for another week or two.  Between getting ready to move back to the states and work, I'm freakin' swamped right now.

Fair enough. Just wanted to bump the thread to make sure I didn't miss any requests.

I've got oodles of tables that I've already written for a fantasy setting. Let me know when and where you want them. I'd love to be part of this.

Well, I'm thinking I'm going to go on a collaborative works blitz this weekend to drum up interest. I've still got to head to the bank and run some errands first, but unless Zachary comes up with a prompt for me by then, I might just start the project myself as part of the blitz.

Chartphilia is up. If you want me to change anything, or if you just think the name is lame, let me know. I pretty much guessed on what would be reasonable requirements for submissions.

I just changed the author to Zachary, since it was his idea. As the Collective Works guy I can still make tweaks if requested, but this should make it easy for Zachary to edit it too.

Excellent--I'm sorry I haven't responded lately, but I'm in the middle of a move, with all that entails.
