I'd say kick it up into Game Discussion; that's what it's about, right?

Personally, I think In Theory, Craft, and Practice would be a better forum, rolling Theory and AP into one; it doesn't really feel like either gets enough traffic to sustain itself. Roleplaying Games gets the general chatter, ITCP would receive the more "directly applicable" stuff.

Actual Play should be in the Game section.

Don't merge it with Theory, the two are polar opposites.

I do.  In fact, I'll go one further: I think talking about games we're playing or are planning to play is so fundamental to the idea of a roleplaying board that there it is ludicrous to split it off from the main RPG forum.  Maybe that would make sense if the main board was inundated with traffic and we needed to divide it to make it readable -- but we're not there yet.

I don't personally find them that unrelated, any more than lab research and field work are 'polar opposites'. Good theory aids play, good play informs theory; that we have very little of each at the moment in general does not make this untrue. Putting them together is more a matter of activity in my consideration than similarity, but suffice it to say I disagree.

I'm not convinced. You see, my concern is that by merging that forum with the Main one, it won't lead to more talk of Craft and Actual Play going on in the main forum, it'll just lead to the death of that subforum and that topic with it.

You know, I clicked over to Actual Play/Craft just to check on something.

I was surprised to realize the first page of threads are, in fact, all from this incarnation of the boards. The last seven on that page are all from January, but they are in fact pseudo-current.

I think a move would be the application of a couple hundred thousand volts to that particular semi-comatose forum; it'll either leap up and start running or finally explode and die. Let nature, and her child raw electricity, take her course.
