This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I'll be doing character stats for the big cats and great cats this week, in honor of Zimbabwe's Cecil The Lion, who was killed by a poacher a few days ago.  #RIPCecil

I hope to have the game info done by Thursday, but in the meantime, if you're interested in taking the fight to the poachers, I've added links on the Great & Small blog to the International Anti-Poaching Foundation and Veterans Empowered To Protect African Wildlife.

In memory of Cecil The Lion, I've deviated from my alphabetical-order approach to OSR animal stats, to create character info for great cat (including lion) PCs.

Anything that allows one to play birds (and I do love owls) I am liable to automatically have an interest in.  I'll check this out as soon as I can and try to post again after.  I also really love Watership Down (both the novel and the movie), but have never played Bunnies & Burrows (or anything similar really).

Any chance you might write up a corvid of some sort for featured creatures?

Yep.  I'm going through and converting animal "monster" listings from B/X and the Rules Cyclopedia in alphabetical order right now... but I do take requests. ;)  I'll make ravens and crows my next entry.

BTW, if you love birds and are a Watership Down fan, you'll probably love the novel Raven Quest by Sharon Stewart.  http://www.amazon.com/Raven-Quest-Sharon-Stewart/dp/B00DF87ILS

Cool, I had not heard of that book before.
Well, I'll keep my eye out for your take on a crow and raven.

Just to let you know King,

I plan to do a review of Great and Small for Knights of the Dinner Table, from what you have available.
