While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

LSH Campaign: Update 3000

Here's another "where are they now" update for my LSH Campaign, as of the beginning of this new year in the campaign.  We've finally reached the year 3000, making it 5 years since the previous update I wrote up, in 2995.

Cosmic Boy: Active. Recently revealed that a new invention of Braniac 5's is restoring his magnetic powers.  However, since he has started using these armbands, he has begun to show unusual personality changes.

Lightning Lad: Retired, living on Winath.  Recent advances in treatment of the Validus Plague have led to a dramatic recovery of his health and restoration of full movement.

Saturn Girl: Retired, living on Winath with her husband (Lightning Lad), their now 15 year old son Grahym, and twin 5-year old daughters Daisy and Doritt.  The latter have demonstrated pyschic abilities inherited from their mother.  Her other son Garridan (formerly Validus) continues to be housed on the medical planetoid Quarantine due to his being a carrier of unknown diseases, and he recently appeared to manifest powers that may be a remnant of his transformation by Darkseid.

Duo Damsel:  Retired. Was restored one of her bodies (believed deceased but in fact kept prisoner for years by Glorith).  She continues to hold the rank of Colonel in the UP Militia and runs the UP Academy for metahuman recruits alongside her husband (Bouncing Boy).

Phantom Girl: Deceased.

Chameleon Boy: Active. His father RJ Brande's return to public life has freed him from running Brande Industries and he now dedicates all of his time to the Legion.

Dr. Colossus (formerly Colossal Boy): Active.  Killed by the Persuader, he was revived (secretly) by Ras Al Ghul using a Lazarus Pit.  He does not have a clear recollection of this event.   Recently, he and his wife Yera adopted a Jewish orphan, Leovitz.

Invisible Kid: Retired (effectively expelled). Lyle Norg was brought back to this dimension by the Dominion, and has since expressed homicidal hatred toward his previous comrades in the Legion.  He escaped Earth after the Dominion's defeat and has since mostly acted from the shadows to oppose the Legion.

Kid Quantum:  Active. Recently it was revealed the Kid Quantum had faked his own death, and that he was the carrier of the Soul of Antares, the race-consciousness of the Llornian species.  He finally managed to restore the Soul to the Llornian species, an event he did not expect to survive, but he was preserved by Dragonmage's magic.  For the first time finding himself free of his great cosmic duty, he has chosen to return to active membership in the Legion.

Supergirl (Kara El-Gand): Retired.  The "first" Legion Supergirl has left the Legion at least for the moment to assist her husband Rond Vidar (possibly the last of the Green Lanterns) to try to discover the source of the disaster that has apparently destroyed the Green Lantern Corps.  Unofficially, many believe that she was also glad to distance herself from the Legion on account of her estrangement from her daughter, the second Supergirl.

Braniac 5: Active. Brainy continues to be an essential member of the Legion roster; recently he has had to deal with the existence of his clone, Braniac 6; ultimately helping the latter to overcome the trauma of his having been created as a tool of the Science Lords of Colu.  He continues to develop a particularly close (though so far platonic, as far as anyone knows) relationship with the teenaged Supergirl II.

Valor: Retired.  Valor and Shadow Lass continue to travel across the galaxy, righting wrongs wherever they find them.

Ultra Man (formerly Ultra Boy):  Active. Ultra Man was elected deputy leader in 2999 and assumed leadership duties following the medical suspension of Superboy.  He has finally begun to heal from the loss of Phantom Girl, entering into a new long-term relationship with the reformed supercriminal Spider Girl.

Sun Boy: Retired.  Sun Boy quit the legion rather than face expulsion after brutally and intentionally killing the Persuader.  His breakdown was part of a longer series of psychological issues stemming from the death of his long-time lover Dawn Allen (Tornado Lass), which has also affected his relationship with his daughters Lightspeed (his daughter with Tornado Lass) and Inferno (a daughter he didn't know existed until a few years back).  After spending some time in therapy he received help from Element Lad until the latter was rendered comatose saving them both from Trommite zombies, after which Sun Boy saved Element Lad's life by getting him to medical care on Daxam.  More recently, he has begun to train in meditation with the Sensei, the mysterious martial artist responsible for training both Karate Kids as well as the Amazer, Judo Girl.  He was most recently offered the chance to somewhat reform himself by taking up the position of headmaster at the new (yet to be opened) Legion Academy, an offer he is seriously considering.

Star Boy: Retired.  Continues to work as manager of Xanthu's planetary Batball team, the Xanthu Stars.  The Stars won the galactic series in 2998.  He is married to Yvva Val, the owner of the Xanthu Stars.

Shrinking Violet: Active.  Recently served as Legion Leader.  She continues to develop her relationship with Lightning Lass.

Bouncing Boy: Retired.  Runs the UP Militia Academy for metahumans alongside his wife (Duo Damsel) and holds the rank of Colonel in the UP Militia.

Matter Eater Lad: Active.  Continues to be the bane of the female Legionairre's existence.

Element Lad: Active.  Spent six months comatose recently when Mordru raised an army of zombies and Element Lad was forced to disintegrate the entire zombie popultion of Trom.  He bordered on death and only recovered when Sean Erin arrived at his side. The two have since renewed their relationship.

Lightning Lass: Active.  Continues to develop her relationship to Shrinking Violet.

Timber Wolf: Active.  After being restored from his state as the mutant creature "furball" to full sentience, he nearly died of Zuunium poisoning, was transported through time back to the 20th century, and was finally retrieved by Braniac 5.  His condition stable (at least for the moment) he has returned to active duty in the Legion.

Karate Kid I: Deceased.

Princess Projectra: Retired.  Continues to act as planetary ruler of Orando.

Ferro Lad I: Deceased.

Dream Girl: Retired. Continues to act as High Seer of Naltor.

Shadow Lass: Retired. Travels the galaxy with Valor.

Chemical King: Deceased.

Wildfire: Retired.  Was recently rescued from imprisonment/dispersion within the Sol System's sun, which he had used his energy to prevent from burning out.  When the sun was restored by Brande Industries and Braniac 6 from its then Red-sun state to its original Yellow-sun state, Wildfire was freed.  However, he declined to rejoin the legion and instead went off to find Dawnstar.  The last the Legion heard of him, he had kidnapped Dawnstar from Starhaven where she was recovering from the massive physical and psychological trauma she was suffering.

Tyroc: Active.  Divides his time between the Legion and governing Marzal.  His people were almost completely wiped out by the Dominion, with only a couple of hundred survivors, and Tyroc has worked tirelessly to restore them to their island nation and help them to rebuild.

Dawnstar: Retired. After being freed from possesion by the Bounty entity, Dawnstar returned home to Starhaven to undergo physical and psychological treatment; which has not progressed much, particularly after learning that her wings cannot be regrown.  She recently discovered Wildfire was still alive, but filled with shame at her current condition refused to see him.  Wildfire didn't take no for an answer, and kidnapped her, fleeing Starhaven in an effort to try to "save her" from herself.

Invisible Lord (formerly Invisible Kid II): Active.  Having served as legion leader in 2998, Jacques Foccart recently married Infectious Lass.  He also recently had to decide where he stood regarding his status as an agent of the Celestial Intelligence Agency, ultimately choosing to sever all ties with that government espionage service after their interests conflicted with the Legions'.

White Witch: Retired.  Restored to her full powers after defeating Mordru, the White Witch has decided to take time away from the Legion to dedicate to rebalancing herself, leaving her protege Dragonmage as the Legion's magician in her place.

Blok: Deceased

Quislet: retired.  Has never been seen again following the destruction of his vessel and his forced return to his home dimension.

Tellus: Retired.  Continues to be an active follower and spokesbeing for the Dark Circle, though he has not entered in any contact with the Legion following his conversion to that sect.

Comet Queen: Deceased

Magnet (formerly Magnetic Kid): Active. Having been on leave on Braal this past while, he has not yet learned of his brother's powers being restored.

Polar Boy: Retired.  After rescuing King Evillo of Tartarus from his evil wife for a second time, Polar Boy has been rewarded with marriage to one of Evillo's daughters, Styx.  Along with Styx and her sister Stiletta, as well as the heroes Sugyn, Spaceopoly Lad and Policy Pam, Polar Boy is a member and current lifetime Leader of the Legion of Substitute "Villains" of Taratarus.

Lamprey: deceased.  Died during the Khund attack on the UP Academy on Xolnar.

Nightwind: Retired. After leading the resistance during Earth's liberation from the Dominion, Nightwind was first appointed and then elected president of Earthgov.

Superboy: Retired. After being elected legion Leader in 2999, Richard Kent Shakespeare was de-aged to the physical body of a 7 year old boy by Glorith of Balduur when the Legion fought her in the 70th Century.  He has since quit the legion until a cure can be found, and is currently living on Winath with the Ranzz family and his former patient Ivy.

Atmos: Deceased. Killed by Lyle Norg when testing his android BION.

Crystal Kid: Retired. After having spent time in the resistance, then captured by the Dominion, and later managing to escape, he applied to return to the legion but was rejected due to negative reports about his character.  He has since joined Braniac 6's super-group, the Amazers.

Karate Kid II: Retired.  Was captured and mindwiped by the Dominion during the occupation of Earth.  After receiving successful treatment, he has since returned to his native world Lythyl, where he slew one of the current rulers of that world to once more become one of its leaders.

Echo: Retired.  Missing since the disbanding of the Legion, recent documentation was unearthed proving that Echo had been captured by the Dominion and underwent mindwiping. However, he was not among those listed as deceased nor was he found after the war, and it appears he may have been released as a dominion operative (or by someone else) prior to the war's conclusion. His whereabouts are unknown.

Fire Lad: Retired. Served in the resistance; later joined the Earth Defenders.

Chlorophyl Kid: Retired.  Served in the resistance, later joined the Earth Defenders.

Porcupine Pete: Retired. Served in the resistance, later joined the Earth Defenders.

Infectious Lass: Active.  Served in the resistance, and later chose to follow Invisible Lord into the Legion of Super Heroes.  She and Invisible Lord recently wed.

Color Kid: Retired. Served in the resistance, later joined the Earth Defenders.

Stone Boy: Retired. Served in the resistance, later joined the Earth Defenders.

Calamity King: Retired.  Was captured by the Dominion during the occupation of earth but his powers aparently made it impossible for them to effectively mindwipe him, or even contain him for very long.  He attempted to rejoin the legion but they unsurprisingly declined.

Storm Boy: Retired (effectively expelled). Originally joined the legion as a spy for Earthgov. Later worked with Lyle Norg in the service of the Dominion.  Was captured during the war, and has been classified as insane. He was recently released from Labyrinth to a psychological facility on Earth, and has publicly repudiated his former actions claiming to have been mentally controlled by the Dominion (though there is no record of his being mindwiped).  He has recently issued statements sympathetic to the cause of the xenophobic Earth First movement.

Kono: Active.  Recently discovered that her mother was alive and actively engaging in pirate activity against the United Planets.  Even so, Kono chose to defy her mother and her Sklarian heritage to stand by the Legion.

Neon (Celeste "Rockfish" McCauley): Active. Has more or less obtained control of her green-energy powers, though she has yet to find the full limit of her abilities.  Continues in her relationship with Magnet. Was recently revealed (but not in-game) to be a servant of Ras Al Ghul.

Reflecto II (Devlin O'Ryan): Active. Very recently changed his costume to one very similar to his deceased father, and has finally gained more confidence in his role as a hero and his place in the Legion.

Catspaw (April Dumakis): Retired.  A human girl mutated into a feral creature of instinct by the Dominion, Catspaw was rescued after the war and joined the Legion, where she developed into a (physical) relationship with Sun Boy who is several decades her senior (a relationship that was perhaps a sign of Sun Boy's psychological instability). After the latter's effective expulsion from the Legion, Catspaw went through a surprising bout of depression at his leaving her without so much as a goodbye, and she eventually left the Legion to remain on Tartarus, a more primitive planet much to her liking.  She is a member there of Polar Boy's "Legion of Substitute Villains of Tartarus".

Computo (Danielle Foccart):  Active. Having gained the power to control and communicate with all kinds of computers, including via hypernet links, Computo joined the legion after being rescued from Dominion imprisonment.  In recent Earth elections she was a candidate for the presidency, but lost in favour of Nightwind.  She has quickly become a vital member of the Legion.

Dragonmage (Xao Yin): Active.  A young mage with limited powers and control, he was a prisoner of the Dominion until he managed to be rescued/escape alongside Computo, Crystal Kid and Catspaw.  Dragonmage joined the Legion but then quickly went on leave to study under the White Witch, who had lost most of her magical power but continued to have vast knowledge of magic she used to help train the promising young wizard.  After the White Witch's powers were restored, she opted to continue her on-leave status and left Dragonmage as the Legion's official magician.  He has gained increasing confidence and ability, using his power to save the life of Kid Quantum among other things.

Ferro Lad II (Douglas Nolan): Active.  The twin brother of Andrew Nolan, the original Ferro Lad, Douglas spent most of his life as a psychiatric patient.  Braniac 6 saved him from being captured by the Dominion, and apparently manipulated/hypnotised him into thinking that Douglas was in fact the original Ferro Lad, adding him to his group of resistance fighters.  After the war, Ferro Lad joined the Legion, who felt they owed him, and decided to let him continue to believe he is the true Ferro Lad. When Mordru recently raised zombies of the various dead legionairres, Ferro Lad's encounter with his own brother led him to momentarily snap, but he has since recovered.  Nevertheless, the deeper (and dangerous) delusions he holds have yet to be addressed by the team.

Night Girl: Active.  Wife of Cosmic Boy and now mother to their child, Pol Jath Krinn.  She recently, finally, joined the Legion as a full member.

Supergirl II (Lauren El-Gand Vidar): Active.  The daughter of the first Supergirl of the 30th century, and of Rond Vidar (the local sector's Green Lantern and son of the villain Universo), Supergirl II was destined to join the legion ever since she was revealed as travelling back in time from a point in the future and entering the legion as the mysterious "sensor girl".  At this time still in her late teens, she finally joined the legion after being sufficiently of age to qualify, and against the wishes of her mother. She is estranged from both her parents, but has a very close relationship to Braniac 5.

Spider Girl (Susa Paka): Active.  Formerly a legion reject and member of several incarnations of the "Legion of Super Villains", Spider Girl has apparently reformed from her career as a super-villain and master thief (her thief skills being significantly more impressive than her power to extend her hair and manipulate things with it).  She joined the Legion after breaking into their new headquarters to ask for their help, as she was being hunted by unknown individuals for her possession of a mysterious canister she had stolen from the ruins of the Dominion Occupation Headquarters. She has proven to be trustworthy and has entered into a serious romantic relationship with Ultra Man.

Dream Boy (Rol Purtha): Active.  A native of Naltor with powers similar to Dream Girls' but of less magnitude, he had briefly served in the resistance under Braniac 6, but left after the latter's callous leadership led to the death of his girlfriend at that time.  He joined the legion after helping to save Legion HQ from a group of mercenaries seeking Spider Girl's canister, who had occupied the building while most of the Legion was away. He appears to have developed feelings for Lightspeed, which are not reciprocal at this time, in spite of a clumsy make-out session during a drunken party.

Lightspeed (Jenni Allen-Morgna): Active.  Daughter of Sun Boy and the late Tornado Lass (and thus a descendent of the 20th Century Flash), the young speedster was a prisoner of the Dominion and mindwiped to be used by Lyle Norg as a weapon against the Legion in general and Sun Boy in particular.  Rescued, she spent a couple of years as the ward of Universo who helped cure her of her psychological damage.  She has since joined the Legion.  She cares deeply for her father but has had difficulties in her relationship with him due to his own traumatic stress.  She also remains very close to Universo, who she sees as a substitute parent figure.  After learning of her half-sister, Inferno, she tried to develop a relationship with her but was ultimately rebuffed (again, due mainly to the latter's psychological issues).

Mandalla (Persis Ganji): Active. One of the last students of the old Legion Academy before that institution closed its doors, with the power to super-hypnotize (mentally dominate) any one individual at a time, Mandalla was active in the resistance during the war.  She initially joined Braniac 6's group after he saved her life, and later carried on into his super-group, the Amazers.  However, after Braniac 6 used the Amazers to take over the planet Colu and nearly accidentally wiped out civilization as we know it, she decided she'd had enough, and opted to accept an offer of Legion membership.
