Sure.  It was also well understood for much of humanity's history that rain follows the plow, that the body has four humors, and that spontaneous generation of life happens regularly.  There are an awful lot of things that we know now about biology and medicine that differ from what was believed through much of history.

I'm willing to have frank discussion of it. I don't think it's so much a ritual taboo as most people disagree with you because they think you're wrong. I don't think that name-calling women as sluts is reasonable. It's still name-calling for attack rather than description. As for number of partners, the American Millennial generation are less promiscuous than their parents - roughly as promiscuous as those born in the 1950s - though admittedly that is up a bunch from those born in the 1920s. They are more likely to be accepting of premarital sex and LGBT relationships, but have fewer sexual partners. See below a graph of sexual partners by birth cohort - roughly 3.5 for both the Boomer generation and Millennials.

A century and a half ago, in 1868, women still had limited property rights. They were often subject to coverture when married - where their husband by law owned all of their combined property, even property that the woman owned before the marriage. Women should be allowed to own property on their own, and I don't think that the trend of giving women more rights since 1868 was a mistake.

The U.S. Department of Justice has several measures of crime rates, such as the NCVS - a polling of households for what crimes they have been victims of. (ref)  So there are number of checks on crime rates, including measurements by different organizations. I don't believe that all statistics from all organizations are being falsified as part of a global coverup.

If you have actual informational sources showing the crime trend you're talking about, I'd be interested to look at them. But the articles you're citing don't offer any clear evidence for what you claim.

Yes.  The consequences are greater personally and for society when females are promiscuous, but that doesn't excuse males who do it either.  It sucks for all involved when people choose to use sex for entertainment and make it something normal and banal, rather than saving it for marriage and using it for pair bonding.  It's no accident that both those who live promiscuous lives, and those who use pornography and masturbation to pretend they have an active sex life, gravitate to more and more extreme kinks in an effort to stimulate themselves.  It's the same as a drug addict needing bigger hits to achieve the same degree of stimulation.

Also, the source is using "slut" for anyone who has a child out of wedlock, as well as calling such children inherently a problem. Neither of those is inherently true, and as I noted, recently the number of sexual partners has been decreasing even as attachment to marriage is decreasing.
