SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The RPGPundit's Own Forum Rules
This part of the site is controlled by the RPGPundit. This is where he discusses topics that he finds interesting. You may post here, but understand that there are limits. The RPGPundit can shut down any thread, topic of discussion, or user in a thread at his pleasure. This part of the site is essentially his house, so keep that in mind. Note that this is the only part of the site where political discussion is permitted, but is regulated by the RPGPundit.

Strange a gaming forum thinks it is such a great thing to ban a president or talk of him considering HALF THE COUNTRY supports him.  These people are delusional.

The 'Far Right' is a terrifying mass on the brink of overthrowing the nation, or an insignificant tiny group of losers in mom's basement, depending on what the narrative requires. Much like women are badasses worthy of Special Forces and SWAT, while simultaneously needing Victorian levels of special treatment and protections.
I'm a middle aged guy with a lot of free time, looking for similar, to form a group for regular gaming. You should be chill, non-woke, and have time on your hands.

LOL that thread. Those people are insane.

Containment. It's the best we can do. Contain them over there, so we can keep track of them. Like sheep or hamsters or such. They have their little dystopia and people with an iota of self-respect will figure out how it works and will leave.
The worms crawl in and the worms crawl out
The ones that crawl in are lean and thin
The ones that crawl out are fat and stout
Your eyes fall in and your teeth fall out
Your brains come tumbling down your snout
Be merry my friends

Yes. Your IQ goes up, when you leave the Big Purple.

I see they've either locked down or removed the infraction forum from public view. Probably to clean stuff up for the new boss.

Pity, I enjoyed reading the latest madness from time to time.

Yup, a guy I know who is still active on there says they've hidden it....kinda like Tangency.

That sums it up nicely.
Women are also sexually aggressive......but don't you dare look at them and find them sexy.

I posted on RPGnet a few times but it was quite boring. There was a thread complaining about people who think that unplanned character death in RPGs isn't a horrible idea. The reasoning is that the sudden death of vital characters ruins storytelling and causes emotional distress to players. I don't like it when my characters dies, but if you're going to have a meltdown about it, you shouldn't be playing in the first place.

Trump isn't even that different from any other president. He just fell into the Dems crosshairs and since Romney* they know no restraint in how they attack a candidate.

*Maybe even earlier? I wasn't that interested in politics back then.

The notion of an exclusionary and hostile RPG community is a fever dream of zealots who view all social dynamics through a narrow keyhole of structural oppression.

So.

Big Purple banned Trump & his politics from their site. Now they're banning people who don't want real-world politics at their table.

Pot meet Kettle.

TTRPGs are just games. Friends are forever.

You can talk about Trump.  You just can't post anything that supports Trump.  In the same way, you can talk about incidents involving the police but you can't post anything that supports the police.

You are supposed to pretend that mild discomfort or annoyance are SEVERE EMOTIONAL DISTRESS and causes terrible trauma to players.

The more I read about how the Leftist worldview and Narcissistic/Borderline Personality Disorders are interrelated I have to conclude it's not pretend... they are actually so mentally ill that what would be mild discomfort or annoyance to a normal person is actually too much for them to cope with.

In past generations they would have been locked away in institutions for their own good and the good of society. Now they're free and demanding we indulge their mental illnesses as truth.

Unfortunately for them, I'm not a good liar...

I think I still have an account there. I have a habit of never logging out of any website. I'll hop on and see what they're talking about now.

That thread gives the impression that Pathfinder 2E has made it at least implicit that one cannot be socially conservative and of Good alignment. Is that accurate? (Asking out of curiosity; I disliked Paizo back when they were running the magazines. :) )

Not quite on topic, but RPG Pub was holding a death watch for the 'site.  I thought how it was like a wake, and had a second thought - twice in one day even! I was going to post this link when this site re-opened, but a mod closed that thread before I could post - So I'll post it here:
