SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The RPGPundit's Own Forum Rules
This part of the site is controlled by the RPGPundit. This is where he discusses topics that he finds interesting. You may post here, but understand that there are limits. The RPGPundit can shut down any thread, topic of discussion, or user in a thread at his pleasure. This part of the site is essentially his house, so keep that in mind. Note that this is the only part of the site where political discussion is permitted, but is regulated by the RPGPundit.

"RPG"net's Death-spiral (Mod Sea-lioning in a thread about the evils of Sea-lioning)

:D Someone's posts maybe, not mine. I gave up on RPGnet when it became clear that posting there takes far too much energy for a leisure activity. I'm not interested in spending more time composing, self-analyzing, and revising a comment on a site for my hobby than I spend writing a presentation for a company CEO. But that level of effort has become necessary to avoid being misrepresented by the hyenas and eventually red texted by one of their pals.

I really liked the post by RPGnet Moderator Nathan Easton - AKA The Wyzard.  Finally there was a clear statement of the principles that the vocal tangency clique takes as self evident and that the admins and owners support. That essay should be enshrined in the forum rules and made the official RPGnet pledge allegiance.

I can't help but wonder if the thread on "Leftist Dystopias" that was started recently in TRO is in some way inspired by this business.

I don't disagree with the general sentiment, but I still say it would be easier, clearer and more dramatic to just demand everyone offer a ceremonial pinch of incense to the SJW Idols--Robespierre, Rousseau, Sanger, Venus, Moloch ... :D

Incense is for old style religious types.

Nathan Easton - AKA The Wyzard is one of the avant-garde and they are all about controlling words. They want to define what words mean and control what words people are allowed to use in conversation and debate. They want to change and control what those words even mean.

Why?

Control the words people use and you control their discourse, control their discourse and you control what people are thinking about, control what people are thinking about and you control what they can think about, and if you can control what people can think about, eventually you will control people. It's all about controlling other people.

You're one of the types that consider Napoleon an "evil spawn of Jacobinian revolt and filthy bourgeois", aren't you?
Furthermore, I consider that  This is Why We Don\'t Like You thread should be closed

I honestly don't think much of Napoleon (in either sense of the phrase)--as a man who deals more in creeds and ideas, my hostility is reserved more for the Revolution. :) (The ancien regime had definitely gone far downhill from the days of St. Louis IX, but it was preferable to the regimes that wound up immediately following it.)

I was going to point out that thread. The mods were on it like flies on shit immediately and trying to undermine the idea, if the first couple of pages are any indication. I'm surprised no one has been red texted yet, but I have a feeling will be under their microscope after this.

Try this link. It looks like the thesis is "in attempting to solve pressing and important social issues, millennial social justice advocates are violently sabotaging genuine opportunities for progress by infecting a liberal political narrative with, ironically, hate."

Quote from: ArrozConLeche;826289Of course, in that feminism thread, you can see Cessna once again trying to pin the modclique's general shittiness on the users of the site.

Pretty much. We've been saying it for years. The very root of the TBP's problems is the hypocrisy of the Mods. And they do the exact same thing they accuse others of at BEST... at worst, their warped views of reality force them on this endless witchhunt for which they will find no end of people to attack, and now they're just feeding on themselves.

[self-promotion] Worth skimming around the #90-120 post count if only to see a couple of semi-regulars here publicly abandon TBP. :)

If you have an account, go post in that thread that Blue Rose is a perfect example of a left-wing dystopia.
