This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.
The RPGPundit's Own Forum Rules
This part of the site is controlled by the RPGPundit. This is where he discusses topics that he finds interesting. You may post here, but understand that there are limits. The RPGPundit can shut down any thread, topic of discussion, or user in a thread at his pleasure. This part of the site is essentially his house, so keep that in mind. Note that this is the only part of the site where political discussion is permitted, but is regulated by the RPGPundit.

Of course because he is willing to allow anyone and everyone to join he is a bad person. With the usual terrible moderation of "you must agree with the majority or be asked to leave the thread" style nonsense. Or run the risk of being banned. Talk about mass delusion they seem to think they can force people to act a certain way.

Accusations and all are enough to tar and feather, due process what is that? The Totalitarian Puritans (aka the SJWs) don't bother with such trifling matters. Mentzer has acted like an ass and other places around the web quite strangely. But to jump to sexual assault lurking around every corner on the convention floor? Of course these are the same folks who actually believe a case of 1 in 4 women are sexually assaulted on college campus. So at a rate higher than worn-torn, no government hellholes like Somalia?

Rape should be zero, but inflating it to claims of sky high rates doesn't help the matter either.

And Voros will be here to "enlighten" all of us how righteous and noble his brethren are. Wait for it...

Good.
They can either learn to live with people who don't believe their narrative, or be reduced to an ever shrinking circle of white people fighting each other over who is the best ally.
The notion of an exclusionary and hostile RPG community is a fever dream of zealots who view all social dynamics through a narrow keyhole of structural oppression.

It occurs to me that at some point the only thing you'll be able to discuss on tbp is the Bearenstien Bears books but only in a positive light.

Beaten to the punch. Even the ones that aren't overtly Christian have too many traditional values for that crowd, like "do your homework if you want good grades" instead of "refuse to do your homework because the questions are racist" or whatever.

How the hell can a question be racist? Asking to solve 2 + 2 is what numerically appropriating. The good thing is once people like that get introduced to the reality of the job msrket. They either adapt or have meltdowns.

Granted the guy running the convention posted one of the most tactless, undiplomatic posts to showcase his convention. That or has zero social skills. Yet in very predictable fashion the thought police over at the TPP have acted like they usually do. This time it's not even the mods.

I would probably never go to the convention yet seeing a small group trying to destroy the con is sad as well. It's like they think if they try to guilt trip someone it will make his or her change their mind. The guy running the con so far refuses to be intimidated, sticking to his guns and willing to go somewhere else. It's like some on TPP can't handle, let alone understand that someone does think like they do.

That board is a comedy program. Many moons ago I officially reprimanded because I dared to say the original World of Darkness was superior to the new (at the time) version. It's flushed itself even farther down the crapper now. You aren't even allowed to speak unless you are doing so to agree with their politics. There are third world dictators that would love to have them on staff.

These are people that want to banish people from society in cases where absolutely no legal claims have been made. They try to show how feminist they are while they are getting ready to furiously please themselves while watching a sexual assault scene from Game of Thrones.

It shouldn't be a requirement of free speech to constantly yell out that you are anti-rape before you speak. It should, you know, just kind of be a standard human quality.

The reason they moderate that way is that they don't want their ideas challenged. A lot of poorly reasoned stances are treated as "settled" by SJWs.

When the subject of women at gaming conventions came up on another forum, I mentioned that there always going to be potential for awkward attempts at flirting in an environment where there are lots of strangers on vacation, hotel rooms, and alcohol, but that adults should be accustomed to handling this sort of thing. The pearl-clutching and clucking at the very notion some attendees might be open to having sex on short acquaintance! What was really telling was how many of the outraged posters (themselves men) assumed only men would be interested in such beastly activities.

We used to laugh at these sorts of moralizing scolds when I was in university. Why have we let the least worldly, most anxious, fragile people police our public dialog on so many issues?

The mods there are authoritarian fools but talk about throwing stones while living in glass houses. This place is just as obsessed with outrage just of a different political bent. The OP is a perfect example of someone searching out something on the net for them to bitch about here. Snowflakes the lot.
