SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The RPGPundit's Own Forum Rules
This part of the site is controlled by the RPGPundit. This is where he discusses topics that he finds interesting. You may post here, but understand that there are limits. The RPGPundit can shut down any thread, topic of discussion, or user in a thread at his pleasure. This part of the site is essentially his house, so keep that in mind. Note that this is the only part of the site where political discussion is permitted, but is regulated by the RPGPundit.

Apparently, you don't know the difference between a protest and a riot.
Peaceful protests involve chainsaws, Molotov's, and buildings burning down. Seditious riots involve people being invited in by police, and selfies.

I'm so pissed off at the "mostly peaceful" protests we had here in LA. One store was looted right in front of my eyes, and others were putting up BLM and George Floyd supporting slogans in a panic.  It looked like a bloody protection racket to both my wife and I, confirmed by at least some news outlets.
Wouldn't help. Those bastards were looting and burning black owned businesses too.

But hey, just another sacrifice on the road to utopia, right?

You do realize that those tweets are from a sockpuppet account, right? The real Andy Ngo hasn't been able to post anything since he was given severe brain damage after being pelted with a CONCRETE MILKSHAKE last summer.

Severely brain damaged reporter Andy Ngo writes top ten selling book: Unmasked Inside Antifa's Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy

Whiny losers complain he is taking opportunites away from real minorities.

Orange Man Bad, and fuck poor people getting affordable insulin and epinephrine.

What a douchebag.

The notion of an exclusionary and hostile RPG community is a fever dream of zealots who view all social dynamics through a narrow keyhole of structural oppression.

Read an article on how the tech companies are being extremely helpful in providing data to prosecute anyone illegally in the Capital on 1/6/21. Apparently they're getting the warrants through on trespassing based on location data and then digging through other data to build bigger cases. The article says it's not chilling to free speech because it is only going after those already committing a crime (trespass), but it sounds biased as fuck. I'd link but I'm on a phone and I figure that anyone that's interested can find it themselves.

What was the size of the judgement against her?

None. yet. The case is just beginning, and Dominion is throwing around big numbers in an attempt to intimidate Sydney into settling. Their only problem is she is an attorney and had already gathered Affidavits, Statements and Complaints from people participating in running the elections, as well as Depositions from people directly involved in operating the machines. The fun part begins right now, and is called Discovery, where she has to provide what she in fact has, and Dominion does as well. Then, with all civil suits, each party has to convince the Jury, or Judge, as the case may be, that they are right.

All Sydney has to do is demonstrate the machines don't work as advertised, or that they can be easily manipulated or modified, by any group intent on cheating during the election.

I'll wager right now, this case will be quietly settled with a gag order because if the truth gets these machines were literally designed for cheating, then the entire election process is borked. Just like the banks are too big to fail, the election is too big to throw. I'm watching this case with interest.

Yeah.  I remember a different response from Apple during the San Bernardino shooting...

That was about unlocking a user-secured device, right? This is a little different as it isn't about unlocking the device itself, but of the companies giving the FBI data from their web-based services and all of the things on the devices that those services have user-given permissions to access (like location). IOW, it sounds like all of those user agreements that people don't read and the menus of cross-app access that people quickly click by are what are going to be used to bite some of these people in their asses.

Oh good, now the FBI decides to do their job after telling the DC Police to stand down because there was no chance of any riot happening.

I would certainly trust them.

Might be hard to even prove trespass, since the police literally invited them in at a couple places.

Did they have the lawful authority to do so? I don't believe so.
