While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I’d still like to hear how this sham was remotely Constitution considering Roberts didn’t even preside over the hearings...right there in black and white. “But law scholars!” Yeah...illiterate fucktards who have fooled a great majority of people of all sorts of things like somehow random edicts spouted by minor tyrants have any sort of legitimacy. This is pure theatre meant to show us they DGAF what the law says, they’re going to do whatever they want.

I'm waiting for the commentaires. I have no desire to wade through 32 whatever hours of impeachbull to get to the 'good' bits. But I hear there's some real juicy stuff.

moonsweeper -

Regarding election procedure, I think we might be talking past each other to a degree.

Going around to the big picture -- In general, I think that elections in the U.S. are sloppily run, and have been for decades. I've been aware of it since the 2000 election. However, neither party has shown any mainstream interest in reforming election procedure, and even when they have had the opportunity, they have not passed election reform. There is the For the People Act that was proposed in 2019 by some Democrats, but it had no chance of passing. For decades, the only people I saw complaining about details of election procedure like electronic voting machines have been liberal activists -- usually complaining about how procedures make things unequal for poor people and/or urban minorities.

In the 2000 election, suddenly that reversed. Trump supporters suddenly looked at the details of voting -- and were shocked to find, for example, how Republican administrations had been installing voting machines for decades. Many people seemed to believe that ballots were secured like bank vaults -- with top-of-the-line security and airtight procedure. Instead, it's often a bunch of geriatric volunteers walking the ballots around and counting them up like something out of The Office. That's been true across the tens of thousands of local polling centers since forever - it's not a shocking new development in 2020.

In general, I approve of reforming election procedure. It'll cost a little more money, but we should have some more thorough checks on things and security, to ensure that everyone's vote counts. Some liberals have shown bias defending election procedure in the case of Trump while criticizing it in previous years -- but the same is definitely true in reverse, where conservatives who had no problem with election procedures in 2016 turned around and started complaining.

Interesting, I didn't realize that no one pushed for Voter ID before the 2020 election.  I must also be misremembering Trump appointing some dude named Kobach to look at stuff in the 2016 election.

Taken in total...My curiosity is raised by the fact that it would be much simpler to just grant observers the access they are supposed to have and simply start counting...why would you complicate the process unnecessarily, thereby causing more work for yourself?

You're talking about where they were positioned here? For a secret and secure vote tally, the observers need to be in a place where they can see what is going on in general, but not so close that they can read the votes or interfere with the process. I suspect most places prefer for them to be behind a window or such, rather than have security keep them inside a roped-off area. Exactly where they need to be isn't perfectly defined - it's a judgement call. And again, this is something done by people working for a small stipend with little training across tens of thousands of polling places each with their own setup -- trying to conform to hundreds of detailed election laws that vary from location to location. They're almost all well-intentioned and trying their best, but I'm sure that no one gets it all right.

I notice you used my closing comment, but conveniently left out my actual question...
1) Why were the observers not granted access to view the scanning machines?...if the machines are counting the votes that is part of the process to which they are to be given access.
Why could they not even 'see' the counting machines...'We have someone around the corner putting ballots that you can't see into tabulating machines that you also can't see.'  is not the same as 'We were worried you might see personal information.'...

...should we check the security footage to see if there was a location from which it would they could have seen ballots actually being taken out of boxes and put in tabulating machines...which would have been far enough away to not see privileged info...like say 15' or so...

Bolded directly contradicts the affidavit, which says that people were told to leave and come back at 8:30 AM...

about the ABC Tweet...so ABC lied when they said Waller told them counting ceased at 10:30 or else Waller lied to ABC about the announcement to stop and go home (since she was present at the location when the announcement was made she should know)...pick one

No, I don't have to. Your assumption here is that no one ever makes a mistake or miscommunicates - there's only intentional lying. But in actuality, miscommunication happens all the time. Twitter posts are frequently wrong - not because of criminal conspiracy to lie, but because people post what they think they hear without checking. Just look at any conversation here on this forum, and there's tons of people talking past each other.

Have you ever sat on a jury? In virtually any court case, people's stories about a given event never line up. They'll tell different accounts of the same events -- even witnesses on the same side of a court case.

In this case, the procedure should be that the hours of processing are clearly posted. The observers shouldn't have to infer when work is based on an overheard command as they did. But given that they did leave based on an overheard command, I think miscommunication is clearly possible.

Sad...didn't your professors teach you to be a little more careful in you research...you keep accidentally cutting out parts of my statement...

From your [jhkim's] article, emphasis mine

Quote
"I'll just address the timeline of that evening - the staff at State Farm that evening, they began letting certain people go, no announcement was ever made to leave, for anyone to leave.  Certain staff that were on the cutting stations, that were on the flattening stations, that were extracting from the inner envelopes, those staff left as work completed. I found out sometime, I think a little after10:30, that they were gonna cease operations and I told them not to do that... at about 11:15 they were fully scanning again, and once they were scanning Carter Jones, the State Election Board monitor, he told me 11:42 or 11:52 that he arrived. There were media in the room, external affairs representative there until approximately 11:15. The Secretary of States investigator arrived at 12:15, and they scanned until all the ballots they had available to scan were complete and then cleaned up the room.

2) If they were still counting why did they send anyone away and have one of the remaining employees start sanitizing...according to the italicized portion above, their work was done...but wait...it wasn't done, because there were still more unopened ballots in the 'boxes' you seem so focused on.

See.  Doesn't my statement make a little more sense now?  You really shouldn't cut information from an article, that you provided as evidence, when it starts showing things you don't like.

...and now we have this...(emphasis mine)
I previously showed the spread across Florida in the 2000 recount, where four counties had over +200 votes for Gore, and none with more the +73 for Bush.
...
The biggest shifts favoring Biden were in Cobb and Dekalb counties (+560 and +315). The biggest shifts favoring Trump were in Fulton and Gwinnett counties (+345 and +285).
...
The biggest shifts favoring Franken were in Hennepin and Ramsey counties (+150 and +81). The biggest shifts favoring his opponent Coleman were in Becker and Wright counties (+21 and +9).
The claim is that the one recount with +300 for Republicans in New Hampshire is suspicious, but based on my sampling, I see that a number of county-level recounts have generated near or greater discrepancies than this. I suspect that in a mathematical analysis, these errors aren't truly random in the sense of a mathematically smooth distribution. They are most likely human error, which can have all sorts of systematic biases.
And, could not the systemic bias by humans be ideologically motivated, perhaps? If so, that casts suspicion on the whole process. Your analysis is good and well presented, though you don't address the one sided nature of the shift, but it definitely is food for thought.

I think there could be some ideological bias in these human counting errors - and these would presumably effect hand counts the most. The question is, how big of an effect is that?

No election is perfect. There's always potential for some fraud, some bias, and some error. The key question is how much of it is there.
In modern U.S., there are a dozen or so cases of criminal fraud prosecuted every election, and probably at least a few dozen more who get away with it. It doesn't seem to me that there's any clear pattern to the recount shifts, but there could be some fraction of recount errors that are ideological bias. But recounts usually shift things 0.05% or less overall.

For what it's worth, in Minnesota 2008, the outlying count changes did go in the direction of the county -- i.e. the two biggest shifts for Franken were Democratic counties, and the two biggest for Coleman were Republican. But in Georgia 2020, the counties that shifted most towards Trump were Democratic counties, but conversely the ones that shifted most towards Biden were also Democratic. I'm sure an actual statistical study of this by someone who puts real time into it could come up with a bunch more, but they wouldn't be headline-grabbing, outrage-generating clickbait. It would just be boring-sounding political science.

So now you accept intentional fraud...just that there was not enough to matter...  ::)

Trump's clear to run again in 2024, if he so wishes, and the Dems and establishment Republicans look like hypocritical assholes, on NBC of all places.

I’d say please don’t, if only for the reason that a lot of people simply can’t handle his “style”. In a bizarre way, he actually has a similar, but worse, effect on people compared to Hillary Clinton, where people are willing to believe anything they’re told about them. To the left or right, respectively, Trump and Hillary are vampiric baby killers.

Biden's gone from gaffes to outright lunacy, and we're only one month into his Presidency.

Remember they were unironically declaring how 'we voted a dictator out of office' after the election.

Setting aside the whole cheating question, you don't get to vote dictators out. That's kind of the point of being a dictator; you ensure the people can't remove you through peaceful transfer of power, usually by way of 'roll the tanks!'.

My guess is when Biden finally collapses into drooling idiocy, Harris will declare a national emergency and suspend elections 'for the duration'.

One thing I readily concede.

I was wrong when I said that Trump would triumph over the fraud and serve a second term.

Straight up called it wrong.

The rot is just too deep. From our politicians to our courts.

It's not that our system has been corrupted.

It is evident now that corruption is our system.
