SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The RPGPundit's Own Forum Rules
This part of the site is controlled by the RPGPundit. This is where he discusses topics that he finds interesting. You may post here, but understand that there are limits. The RPGPundit can shut down any thread, topic of discussion, or user in a thread at his pleasure. This part of the site is essentially his house, so keep that in mind. Note that this is the only part of the site where political discussion is permitted, but is regulated by the RPGPundit.

Looks like James Raggi and Drivethrurpg decided to give SJWS in general a big fuck you with the above product and rpg.net is losing their fucking minds. Funny how when it's a creator they love and support they would be praising Drivethrurpg. Instead because for the moment they are not willing to bend over backwards to the bloodthirsty never satisfied SJW mob they get a boycott.

RPGPundit

On twitter they're organizing a huge pressure campaign to get this book banned. Also, I'm told, on the DTRPG discord for publishers.
But that's not all, they're also demanding DTRPG ban LOTFP altogether. AND that they must ban ME too.

So, I hope someone is pointing out to Wieck where all this leads. They will never stop demanding purity purges if he gives in.

Dynamite comics weathered their Vampirella storm by ignoring these Nanny Harpy screechings (a.k.a. twelve loner psychos on Twitter). In less than 72 hours they moved onto their next victim. It's all just a powertrippin' crusade/jyhad and the only sane, professional response is ignore these non-customers. :p

You know, people keep comparing non-TSR D&D to deck-building in Magic: the Gathering. But maybe it\'s more like Katamari Damacy. You keep sticking shit on your characters until they are big enough to be a star.

I wonder why there isn't a similar outcry to have all of Matt McFarline's books removed from drive thru. I mean you have Onyx path profiting from the work of an alleged pedo-rapist. That seems at least as bad as what Zak is accused of.

Spinachcat

All these clowns slandering and libeling ZakS on a site where their names and addresses can be easily subpoenaed (as they have DriveThru accounts often tied to credit cards or PayPal) are really playing with fire if ZakS has the lawyers he's claimed. And considering ZakS' background, I lean toward believing him. ZakS may be many things, but he's neither stupid nor forgiving.

As for Raggi, I don't know if this is him finding his ballsack, or just a marketing maneuver to capitalize on the outrage. I'm somewhat surprised DriveThru hasn't caved to the screeching mob, but maybe they've heard from ZakS' legal team. Who knows? Regardless, it's high time for a big bucket of hot buttered popcorn!

The notion of an exclusionary and hostile RPG community is a fever dream of zealots who view all social dynamics through a narrow keyhole of structural oppression.

DriveThruRPG hopefully realize that those demanding that LotFP and RPGPundit be banned are really demanding that they be empowered as a censorship committee for the site.

Once they gain that power it is guaranteed they'll find more material and publishers that must be banned. Look at the recent controversy regarding how the CSA was represented in Deadlands. Reasonable people can conclude that the whitewashing of the CSA was silly/stupid, but these puritans would probably demand that the older Deadlands material be removed since many of them imagine there's a horde of neo-confederates wanking off to some of the material.

Am I the only one who, when I see "LOTFP" goes "Legend of the Five ...what?" (or maybe I am, since LOFTFP is sorta "old school")

I used to, too! I used to play the CCG and tried the RPG for a bit so yeah, I made that connection too. Great minds? Or fools seldom differing? :-)

"Wah! you're just as bad as the SJWs, they aren't trying to censor anybody, they just want to play their way!"

But not even this will serve as evidence that these lunatics need to be opposed at every turn and wherever they rear their ugly mugs.

Hope DTRPG grows a pair, a few dozen neurons and tells them to go fuck themselves.

Here is why this forum tends to be so stupid. Many people here think Joe Biden is "The Left", when he is actually Far Right and every US republican is just an idiot.

A conflict between Zak S and the TBP gang reminds me of the Iran-Iraq war, Bears-Packers games, or the 2016 US Presidential election.

Is there any way they can both lose?

Mad Tom

This latest mess again points to the need for a viable alternative/competitor to break DTRPG's near-monopoly. This time they've stood firm against the outrage mob, thankfully, but what happens if tomorrow they don't?

As a CCGer first (well, it also was a CCG first, before RPG, and one of the rare few to go from that direction), I am used to L5R. :) Also I was an Imperial edition (pre-Jade) player, and 1e L5R RPG fan. tres old skool! Kick it!

Maybe it is a regionalism? Are you, Trond, and spon from around the same area? I am California back in my L5R days. Maybe we abbreviate differently from different locations?
