SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The RPGPundit's Own Forum Rules
This part of the site is controlled by the RPGPundit. This is where he discusses topics that he finds interesting. You may post here, but understand that there are limits. The RPGPundit can shut down any thread, topic of discussion, or user in a thread at his pleasure. This part of the site is essentially his house, so keep that in mind. Note that this is the only part of the site where political discussion is permitted, but is regulated by the RPGPundit.

You that is quite the valid point you have there.

We need a syndicated net of alternatives. Many store fronts each promoting the others and linking to them for sales of their products. This way they can't shut you down.

Either that or something based on blockchain.

Here is why this forum tends to be so stupid. Many people here think Joe Biden is "The Left", when he is actually Far Right and every US republican is just an idiot.

I actually bought that scenario and had a good read.
Lol, it certainly is a good piece of trolling! :D .

Still. It would actually be fun to run for a oneshot session for friends to play. Lots of RP potential and chaotic gameplay.
Would feel like a fantasy Paranoia session.

It's amazing to me to read some of the big purple and look at the casualty list they've accumulated from eating their own. Holden Shearer, John Morke, and Matt McFarlane...Hell, McFarlane was a writer I looked up to when I was a teenager reading White wolf books. I remember when he gave me my permaban on TBP too, saying I was a Misogynist who hated women, including my own sister and mother.....

Well, then it comes out he may have raped an underage girl...

SJW's always project, they always, always project.
1. Some of you culture warriors are so committed to the bit you'll throw out any nuance or common sense in fear it's 'giving in' to the other side.

2. I'm a married homeowner with a career and a child. I won life. You can't insult me.

3. I work in a Prison, your tough guy act is boring.

And oddly enough there are no cries of outrage to have any of their stuff removed from sale, or their names taken off products. No calls to non-person them like they want to do to Zak and Pundit. Hypocrisy pure and simple.

It appears the OP Link isn't to the book that is the subject of controversy.

It also appears from comments that the 'product' wasn't really a product.  Can someone confirm if the current product listing is the same as the original one?

Edit - I was confused - the Name of the product page is not the same as the image of the product.

This appears to be baiting.
When I say objectively, I mean \'subjectively\'.  When I say literally, I mean \'figuratively\'.
And when I say that you are a horse\'s ass, I mean that the objective truth is that you are a literal horse\'s ass.

The name got changed after the product was released as a PDF on DTRPG. James Raggi has commentary here: https://www.facebook.com/LotFP/posts/10156669598530886

The original title was "Zak Has Nothing To Do With This Book." The title and cover text were changed, but the PDF content is otherwise identical between the original and re-titled versions.

Raggi's RPG career has been based on baiting. This is nothing new.

QuoteOnline is not real life. The online conversation is... heated... but when I've been at conventions, people are cool. Sales are up. People online act like Zak is the devil, like I'm the devil, but Zak is still the best-selling author on the label. Vornheim has sold more physical copies in 2019 than in any other year of its existence. The dissonance I feel when comparing the online atmosphere to the actual numbers (and what both things represent), the confusion being caught between those two worlds, is immense.

This quote from Raggi just shows exactly what we have been saying about these shrill on-line Woke NPCs not reflecting what normal everyday Gamers actually think and buy.

"Online is not real life," should be tattoed on people's inner eyelids upon age of judgment. :p Ignore spiteful, neurotic shut-ins. They did not matter before, they do not matter now, they will not matter in the future. ;) Sad but true!
Just make your fuckin\' guy and roll the dice, you pricks. Focus on what\'s interesting, not what gives you the biggest randomly generated virtual penis.  -- J Arcane

You know, people keep comparing non-TSR D&D to deck-building in Magic: the Gathering. But maybe it\'s more like Katamari Damacy. You keep sticking shit on your characters until they are big enough to be a star.

This is the last time I'll say it Opaopajr, I don't appreciate you lampooning me all over the place! :p

His Esoteric Creature Generator (which I believe was his first product) is my favorite "monster manual" produced by the OSR.

And it wasn't bait, thought his was pre-Flame Princess. If you like custom monster creation, I highly recommend it.

Is it custom monsters, or "mad-lib" monsters?

(Yes, I should have specified that Raggi's bait material started AFAIK with LOTFP)

Well, he finally got what he always wanted: his book got banned by DTRPG.

On one hand, this is what James has been trying to achieve through the last decade, so bully for him. On the other hand, LOL if you believed DTRPG would be "standing their ground", "believing in free speech" or "sticking it to the SJWs". White Wolf's gonna white wolf.
Now with a Zine!
