SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The RPGPundit's Own Forum Rules
This part of the site is controlled by the RPGPundit. This is where he discusses topics that he finds interesting. You may post here, but understand that there are limits. The RPGPundit can shut down any thread, topic of discussion, or user in a thread at his pleasure. This part of the site is essentially his house, so keep that in mind. Note that this is the only part of the site where political discussion is permitted, but is regulated by the RPGPundit.

Druids are obviously a very particular type of wizard. Their spell limits are based on WIS rather than INT, and their spells are very powerful and based on controlling animals and plants.

I imagine that it would be typical for a Wizard who chooses the Druid school to select one of the elemental shaping lists as his second list, or possibly the Curing school.

In game terms, I see the Druids as either the priests of the Elves, or the human priests of the "old religions", the worship of the anthropomorphic gods and spirits of the ancient religions, the shamans of the barbarians.
Warrior-wizards with the druid school might be pagan champions, barbarian shamans, or elven paladins.
Rogue-wizards could be elven druids-in-training that either dropped out or never completed their studies; or humans who learned some of the secrets of elven magic in their travels and adventures.

Are there any other interpretations for the Druid school and what would make sense for them?

What would a druid necromancer be like? You were talking about secondary schools and things and that's just what popped into my head. What is that, goblin magic?

I've used DS for two NPC's: a mystic hunter/beastmaster (druid/physical mastery) and a defender of the forest/old man of the woods (druid/illusions)

A high level Druid Rune Master could place some neat traps e.g. the everfilling pit of voracious gerbils, the corridor of stormy winds

(off-topic but: Rune Masters must make oodles of cash from dungeon-builders - RMs would be raking it in and they'd have the best vaults to hide their stash)
