True.  It's amazing, considering the amount of indie publishers as well as full up companies, that it all boils down to what, maybe a dozen people riding the outrage as far as they can, while doing exactly what they condemn others for.

I find the vast majority of people are good and decent. Even more so when you are actually with them in person.

I wasn't anticipating 'bother' this time as the game is fairly even-handed in its satire (Gamergaters being referred to as 'shitlords' and more for a start). I'm pro-Gamergate (or rather anti-censorship, pro ethical journalism and anti politicisation of games media) but it appears GG has a sense of humour while the opposition doesn't.

This game isn't pornographic, violent or controversial in any way save for its subject matters. OBS has happily sold products like Raggi's, Zak's, like Black Tokyo, like Hentacle, Cthentacle and more for years without a peep despite some grumbling by SJWs. The difference here is the company pressure from EH and some others (I have screens somewhere).

Nobody will actually tell me what the problem is, what the grounds for removal are, what they're so offended by. It seems simply invoking the name 'Gamergate' is sufficient to cause a panic.

The game itself is two player, adversarial, and plays a little like Netrunner in a way.

The SJW side plays 'Ethics Breaches' which are used to score points for both sides. Each side competes over Corruption, Outrage and Bullshit scores with Gamergate trying to win the Ethics Breach before the SJWs get away with it. Both sides do this with special actions, modifiers and attackers/defenders.

EG: 'Gamers are dead' might be the Ethics Breach and it comes with basic scores in Corruption, Outrage and Bullshit. Gamergate might attack by Send Emails which has a high Corruption score, and attaching The Internet Republican (a Youtube personality) while the SJWs might counter with 'The Dark Side has Cookies' to bring him over to their side and a DDOS attack to get rid of the emails (because it's OK when they do it).

You play to 3/5/7 or 9 Ethics Breaches to win.

It's just a fun little game of in jokes and pisstaking and a test of a card game system I intend to use for something else.

Really, I'd rather be doing something else than dealing with SJW morons trying to ban me from everything over a PARTICULARLY innocuous game, especially on my birthday

Eh, I don't like HERO and would rather fill out tax forms than play Champions, but I can appreciate that they are great systems that are pretty well made.

I'd be hard-pressed to see a reasonable argument for 'Fate is a shit game.'

Also, Evil Hat is clearly a successful company with a number of products that they've made and distribute, whether or not you like any of them. Consider all the shit companies that kickstarter products, never produce anything, plagiarize, don't pay their writers, and all the other hijinks and crap bad developers can get up to.
